- Theodore Lodi was born on May 28, 1876 in Moscow, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was an actor, known for General Crack (1929), The Cossacks (1928) and Into Her Kingdom (1926). He died on March 6, 1947.
- Before the 1917 Russian revolution, Lodijensky was a general in the Russian army. After the monarchy was overthrown, he fled Russia and eventually wound up in Hollywood, where he earned a living for a while doing extra work in films and acting as a technical adviser on films about Russia. The film The Last Command (1928) is based partly on his life.
- The character of Grand Duke Bergius Alexander (played by Emil Jannings) in The Last Command (1928) was allegedly based on Lodi, a former Imperial Russian Army General whose birth name was Lodigensky.
- Appeared in three of Will Rogers's starring vehicles: They Had to See Paris (1929), Ambassador Bill (1931) and Down to Earth (1932).
