- Laurie London was born on January 19, 1944 in London, England, UK. He is an actor, known for Buster's Mal Heart (2016), Schlagerparade 1960 (1960) and ...und du, mein Schatz, bleibst hier (1961).
- His song, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands," hit #1 on the U.S. charts in April of 1958.
- After his recording contract with the British Parlophone had already expired in 1961 and the German market also had nothing to offer after the last production with Ariola in April 1962, London withdrew from show business. He took up work with a property company and then ran a hotel in Sussex until 2000. He married in 1987 and settled in the London district of Palmer's Green.
- His later cover versions of the Cliff Richard hit "Lucky Lips" (1963), and "The Bells of St. Mary" (CBS, 1966) went unnoticed.
- At the age of thirteen, whilst a pupil at The Davenant Foundation Grammar School in Whitechapel Road, he made an up-tempo version of "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" with the Geoff Love Orchestra for Parlophone Records (45-R4359) which was picked up by its co-owned American sister label Capitol Records (F3891).
- London has a credit as "singer" in the 1961 German movie "... und du mein Schatz bleibst hier" and he also appeared in the 1958 Danish film "Soldaterkammerater", where he performed "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands".
