A documentary covering the 1993 Friday the 13th sequel Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (Watch It Here – OWN It Here) has been in the works for quite a while, and about eight months ago Jason Goes to Hell director Adam Marcus took to social media to give a promising update on its progress, saying that it was about to go through the color timing and sound mixing stages of post-production. It has been longer than expected, but now Marcus has given another update, letting fans know that the color timing and sound mixing are finally happening this month.
Before the week began, Marcus wrote, “The doc just went through legal and has been approved. Which means we are officially Locked! This means the film is completed from an editing stage and we’ve taken all the steps to ensure that the film meets all the standards to be released.

The show's fourth season concluded in September with an episode dedicated to original Harley voice actor Arleen Sorkin, in addition to the formation of the Gotham City Sirens within the DC series' universe. Now, a fifth season has been formally announced via press release.

Chapter One of James Gunn's new cinematic DC Comics universe is titled "Gods and Monsters." This phrase goes back to a line of dialogue from Dr. Septimus Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger) in James Whale's "Bride of Frankenstein." How fitting then that "Gods and Monsters" kicks off with a Frankenstein-inspired animated TV series: "Creature Commandos."
The premise is simple: A World War II comic in the vein of Marvel's "Sergeant Fury and his Howling Commandos" but with Universal Horror monsters. The original line-up was Lieutenant Matthew Shrieve (a normal human team leader), Sergeant Vincent Velcoro (a vampire), Private Lucky Taylor (a Frankenstein-ian homunculus), Private Warren Griffith (a werewolf), and team medic Dr. Myrra Rhodes (a Medusa-esque Gorgon).
The team was created by legendary writer J.M. DeMatteis and artist Pat Broderick; the Creature Commandos debuted in 1980's "Weird War Tales" #93. Now, an updated version of the team will make it...

The chaotic adventures of Joker’s psychopathic girlfriend and partner in crime, Harley Quinn are set to come out soon, as the DC animated black comedy superhero show’s Season 4 is marked for a July release.
The last season of ‘Harley Quinn’ began going deeper into her newly branded romantic relationship with Poison Ivy. When the season ended, Harley joined the Bat-Family while Ivy was poised to lead the Legion of Doom. In a funny twist, Batgirl is now the head of the Bat-Family as Bruce Wayne ended up being arrested for tax evasion.
Talking about the upcoming season and Harley’s new heroic role in the show with TVLine, showrunner Justin Halpern said, quoted by Collider: “Things are so binary in the superhero world. (Welcome to My Most Ridiculous Note, a series of interviews in which animators talk about the weirdest and funniest notes they received from studio executives.)
"Harley Quinn" is one of the funniest, most subversive, and overall best superhero shows around today. What could have easily been just an over-the-stop, crude, and hyper-violent adult cartoon quickly revealed itself to be full of heart and emotion, with great character arcs not just for Harley and Ivy, but the supporting cast, too.
This is a show that takes us inside Batman's mind, gives us the definitive version of the Waynes' murder, and even provides Bruce Wayne's first therapy session (kind of), all while also turning Joker into a loving stepfather, making King Shark an essential DC character, and giving Bane a characterization we could only dream of.
The show was created by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey, all making their debuts in animation.

Big Shot starred John Stamos as Marvyn Korn, a basketball coach who loses a job as NCAA head coach and becomes a coach for an elite, all-girls private high school, quickly learning that he’ll need to cultivate empathy and vulnerability for the post. “By learning to connect with his players and his daughter, Marvyn starts to grow into the person he’s always hoped to be,” Disney+ added in a synopsis. “The girls learn to take themselves more seriously, finding their footing both on and off the court.” The Big Shot cast also included Jessalyn Gilsig, Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Tisha Custodio, Cricket Wampler, Sara Echeagaray, and Yvette Nicole Brown. The series — an ABC Signature production — was created by David E. Kelley,...

The teams at the center of Disney+’s Mighty Ducks: Game Changers and Big Shot have played their last games.
The streamer has canceled both shows after two seasons each. The decision comes several months after the ends of their respective seasons: Game Changers concluded in November 2022, and Big Shot had a binge release in October.
The writing has perhaps been on the wall for both shows: After the surprising ouster of Peter Rice from Disney in June, a source at the company cited the decision to renew Big Shot and The Mighty Ducks after their first seasons as examples of Rice’s “questionable deal-making.”
As is usually the case with streaming series, detailed viewing data for the pair isn’t available; neither show managed to crack the top 10 of Nielsen’s streaming rankings during their runs. Outside of Marvel and Star Wars properties, The Santa Clauses is the...

Disney+ has canceled two series: “Big Shot” and “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.”
From David E. Kelley, comedy-drama series “Big Shot” starred John Stamos as Marvyn Korn, a men’s basketball coach whose temperamental nature has him ousted from the NCAA and ends up coaching girls at an elite private high school. The cast also included Yvette Nicole Brown, Jessalyn Gilsig, Richard Robichaux, Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Custodio and Cricket Wampler.
Kelley co-created “Big Shot” with Dean Lorey and Brad Garrett, and all three served as executive producers along with Bill D’Elia. The series premiered in April 2021, followed by the debut of Season 2 in October of 2022.
“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” served as a follow-up to Steve Brill’s 1992 film “The Mighty Ducks.” The series was set in present day Minnesota, where the Mighty Ducks had evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive youth hockey team.

Woe betide anyone who stumbles across the Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day Special without any prior knowledge of the animated TV series, because it’s safe to say they’d be in for something of a shock. Created by DC animation veterans Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, and written and exec-produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey, the show specialises in a raunchy, adult-themed and decidedly sweary take on the familiar DC Comics characters, and the Valentine’s Special pushes those limits to even further extremes.

You may have heard that both HBO Max and DC’s film and television properties are in a state of major turmoil. Projects are being canceled even after they’ve completed production, other series are being dropped from the streamer altogether — the proper term for this is, I believe, “Zaslaving” — fictional universes are being revamped, and on and on. It’s a mess, though perhaps James Gunn can entangle the DC end of things.
Somehow, though, Harley Quinn has survived unscathed through all this mess. The animated series outlasted the...

What does Harley Quinn love about Valentine’s Day? It’s the only day when there’s a built-in excuse for doing cheesy sh*t for your partner. (Her words – not mine!) HBO’s critically acclaimed adult animated comedy Harley Quinn will air a special love-themed episode in honor of the most romantic day of the year, according to candy companies and greeting card sales. Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special will stream a few days prior to the holiday it’s celebrating, premiering on HBO Max on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
The streaming service offered this description of the special:
“As Harley goes to obsessive lengths to ensure that her first Valentine’s Day with Ivy is the best ever, Bane’s efforts to impress an unexpected date go horribly awry. Meanwhile, after an unfortunate online dating encounter, Clayface engages in some self-love.”
Kaley Cuoco leads the voice cast as the titular character.

John Stamos may have come to D23 to talk up the second season of his Disney+ show Big Shot but he took time out to show some love to his old pal, Bob Saget.
After chatting up the Oct. 12 return of his comedy-drama from David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey and Brad Garrett, Stamos took the stage alone to share personal stories about the last time he spent time with his Full House co-star, who died in January at the age of 65.
They went to Disneyland, naturally.
“I don’t remember what rides we went on, I don’t remember what we ate, I do remember the feelings we felt,” recalled Stamos, choking up. “We felt the unspoken love that happens between grown men dressed in pajamas. “Big Shot” is the story of a once-successful but temperamental NCAA basketball coach who lands in hot water when he injures a referee. Add to it a failed marriage, and this hotshot coach is brought down a few pegs.
Now that he’s busted down to minor leagues, he needs to coach the sports team of an all-girls high school. But there’s a caveat — those kids don’t take him seriously. As the dramedy moves on, he magically finds his way back and ends up having a phenomenal redemption arc. “Big Shot” is a true depiction of how second chances can be life-changing.
The series debuted on Disney+ on April 16, 2021. David E. Kelley, Bill D’Elia, Dean Lorey, and Brad Garrett are the executive producers of “Big Shot.” ABC Signature is the studio. It is rumored that the production for season two will kickstart somewhere in 2022.

The “Harley Quinn” team gave fans a very quick tease of Season 3 during the DC FanDome event.
While there was no finished footage to present, fans still got to see multiple animatics from the new season. The first saw Harley (voiced by Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (voiced by Lake Bell) embarking on what they dub the “Eat, Bang, Kill” tour of Gotham City.
There are also quick looks at characters like King Shark, Clayface, Jim Gordon, and Dr. Psycho, as well as new characters, including Amanda Waller and one who appears to be Swamp Thing. Bane also makes an appearance, declaring he has come for revenge against Harley’s gang. And what “Harley Quinn” content would be complete without an appearance by Kite Man?
