Actors involved also include Miriam Margolyes, Adrian Dunbar, Alex Lawther, Elaine Paige, Mandeep Dhillon, Derek Jacobi and Sue Johnston, among many others.
In the clip below, Fiennes performs King Edward’s monologue from “Edward II” by Christopher Marlowe.

If only it was acceptable in life to publicly boo everything we didn’t like — it would definitely make going to the movies more fun, and a lot louder.
Fortunately, the Lythgoe Family Panto is keeping the U.K.’s most raucous holiday season tradition alive with “A Snow White Christmas,” which opens Friday for a limited engagement until Dec. 22 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California.
“The best thing about panto is that it’s an interactive experience for everybody — the kids can come and they don’t have to be quiet in their seats,” Disney Channel star Olivia Sanabia, who plays the title role of Snow White, explains. “They can boo the bad guys, cheer for the good ones, and really express themselves. They feel like they’re part of the story and the experience. I love that instant gratification of knowing what the audience thinks.”

Theater actors in Los Angeles, you absolutely won’t want to miss this. Center Theatre Group will hold general Equity auditions as a way for the casting department to be exposed to local talent in order to have a roster of performers on deck for casting its seasons’ productions. And the best part is, they will be held every month. Casting Associate Andrew Lynford will oversee the monthly sessions, the next one of which will take place Oct. 2. Beginning at 10 am, the team will see the first 25 attendees who sign up (so get there early!). Sign up is first come, first served. The auditions will be held at Ctg’s administrative offices, also known as the Music Center Annex, on Temple St. Talent should have two contrasting and contemporary monologues prepared that are no longer than two minutes in length each—the team specifically requests no Shakespeare. Additionally, all auditioners...
