A&E Television Networks has promoted Nancy Dubuc to senior vp nonfiction programming and new-media content. In her new role, Dubuc is charged with growing AETN -- which comprises A&E Network and History Channel, among others -- as a multiplatform content provider. Dubuc, who was senior vp programming at A&E, will now oversee program development for the History Channel as well as all new-media content initiatives for AETN. She also will continue to supervise the development and creation of all A&E's nonfiction programming. Dubuc will report to A&E executive vp and general manager Bob DeBitetto and History Channel president Dan Davids. In addition, the History Channel's nonfiction programming team will now report to Dubuc on all development initiatives, pilots and series launches. She will work closely with History Channel senior vp programming Charlie Maday, who will continue to oversee the network's programming responsibilities including current series, specials and scheduling.
