Livening things up the moment they stepped onstage, Christina Aguilera joined Maroon 5 for a performance at the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday night (November 20).
Bringing the Nokia Theatre La Live crowd to their feet, the "Bionic" beauty powerfully belted out "Moves Like Jagger" alongside Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Michael Madden, James Valentine and Matt Flynn.
The appearance comes as Miss Aguilera and Mr Levine are gearing up for another season as judges on the hit NBC competition show "The Voice".
Having immediately proved to be a hit during its Stateside debut earlier this year, the second go-round is set to premiere on February 5, 2012.

If you're wondering whether or not Adam Levine feels intimidated by Simon Cowell's emerging fall juggernaut "The X Factor," the answer is "absolutely not."
The Huffington Post recently sat down with the Maroon 5 frontman to talk "The Voice," the new NBC show that he's producing and his newest endeavor--professional tea-taster.
The 32-year-old Maroon 5 frontman, along with his bandmates Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Michael Madden, and Matt Flynn, created a Snapple drink, Tea Will Be Loved (conveniently named after their famous song “She Will Be Loved"), to benefit Feeding America. As part of the partnership, Snapple and Maroon 5 will donate $250,000 to the Feeding America, an organization close to the frontman's heart.
"It's so great to be in a position where you can help," says Levine, "It seems like to not help out would be strange."
And Levine and his bandmates were involved in every step of the tediously tasty process.

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera are taking viewers on a nostalgic romp through the '70s in their new video for "Moves Like Jagger." The four-and-a-half-minute clip, which debuted Tuesday (August 9), takes place at the historic L.A. Theatre and, as the song title suggests, features a lot of people trying to move like Mick Jagger.
The Jonas Åkerlund-directed clip opens with black-and-white footage of the theater, shots of work crews assembling lighting and equipment onstage and groups of extras getting into costume, warming up for a shoot. This is followed by classic footage of Jagger, during which a reporter asks the iconic Rolling Stones frontman how long he plans to make music.
"I don't know.

Heidi Klum may have won in the costume department -- but it'd be pretty hard to top the location for Maroon 5 's Halloween party last night in L.A.: A cemetery! Bacardi hosted a bash for Adam Levine and the boys at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery -- inside one of the mausoleums! Adam dressed as John McClane from " Die Hard " for the carnival themed affair. Bandmate James Valentine went as Bono , Jesse Carmichael was Nikola Tesla and Michael Madden was The Boy with the Red Balloon . Other party goers included Kirsten Dunst , Rose McGowan , Seth McFarlane , Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols . Check out the Bacardi party pics! Read more...

Levine's PSA promotes 'Countdown to Zero' anti-nuclear documentary from the producers of 'An Inconvenient Truth.'

Maroon 5's Adam Levine never thought he'd be talking about a topic like nuclear proliferation, because, well, he's the lead singer of a world-famous rock band. Discussing the finer points of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty wasn't exactly on the job description.
And yet, when he was approached by the folks behind "Countdown to Zero" — the harrowing new documentary from the producers of "An Inconvenient Truth" that investigates the perilous state of global politics and the spread of nuclear weapons — about helping promote the film, he said yes.
"It's one of those issues where it's really easy to establish a stance on," Levine said. "It's more of a human issue, and it makes no sense whatsoever to me.
