Has 5 children: two sons Gary Markowitz Gelbart and Paul Markowitz Gelbart and a daughter Gathy Gail Markowitz Gelbart (aka Cathy Gelbart; August 4, 1948-October 10, 1998) with her now ex-1st husband Daniel Markowitz; a son Adam Gelbart and a daughter Becky Gelbart with her now late 2nd husband Larry Gelbart.
On Broadway, she had roles in these productions: "What's Up," "You'll See Stars," "The Day Before Spring," "The Pajama Game," and with Sammy Davis Jr. in "Mr. Wonderful.".

(October 10, 1998) Her daughter, Cathy Gelbart, passed away after cancer battle aged 50.
First husband Daniel Markowitz was a decorated WWII Air Force veteran.
She began her professional career as a singer with Richard Himbel's Orchestra, and that led to acting in Broadway stage productions.
She was signed to a long-term contract by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in January, 1946. She was, however, only given one film assignment, the box office flop Good News (1947), during that period.
