Berlin -- Stefan Oelze, one-time managing director of Granada’s German production operation, has been appointed to the board of television giant Mme Moviement and will take over the running of Mme subsidiary Filmpool.
Oelze will take over April 1 from veteran German producer and Filmpool founder Gisela Marx, who is resigning. The 66-year-old started the company in 1974 and was one of the pioneers of German commercial television.
Mme is Germany’s largest TV production holding with six production divisions that jointly deliver more than 1,000 programming hours a year.
