- Frankie Masters was born on April 12, 1904 in Saint Marys, West Virginia, USA. He was an actor, known for Scatterbrain (1940), Frankie Masters and His Orchestra (1940) and Would You Be Willing? (1935). He died on January 29, 1991.
- Singer and bandleader, who started in the house band of a Chicago theatre. He formed his own band in the late 1920's and recorded for Victor, Columbia, Vocalion, Okeh and Mercury. Masters later married his vocalist, Phyllis Miles. He was perhaps better known as the composer of the popular novelty song "Scatterbrain".
