One of the most surprising games of E3 2016, Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, will not be on stage this year when Sony presents their wares. Read Kojima's tweet below and see if you can decipher it. Plus, find out when you can see the man, himself, live and in person at E3!
When we began on the long, winding road to E3 2017, one of the games we were most excited to get an update on was Hideo Kojima's first game since Konami, Death Stranding. Alas, we aren't so lucky this year as Kojima has tweeted out that his team has decided to forego E3 2017 in favor of spending that time developing. That didn't mean Kojima, himself, wouldn't still be in attendance, though.
Apologies to our fans, Death Stranding will not be @ E3 as we are fully focused on development. Pls see me with @geoffkeighley on 6/14! pic.twitter.com/w...

New mom of two and Little Women: La star Terra Jolé made history as the first little person to compete on Dancing with the Stars last season, and now she’s back on Lifetime’s hit show and blogging about season 6 exclusively for People. Follow Jolé, 36, on Twitter!
This episode of Little Women: La is drama on top of drama. The drinking game will be every time someone says “up Terra’s a$$.” Ha!
Mary’s still visiting and unfortunately I remember this week clear as day. I was struggling with keeping down food and keeping up with so much drama.

Close-Up is a column that spotlights films now playing on Mubi. Albert Brooks' Modern Romance (1981) is showing February 17 - March 19, 2017 in the United Kingdom in the series The Rom Com Variations. She’s out of my lifeShe’s out of my lifeAnd I don’t know whether to laugh or cry—Michael Jackson, “She’s Out of My Life”“cras amet qui numquam amavitquique amavit cras amet”—The Magus (John Fowles) Life comes at you fast. As someone recently on the receiving end of an unexpected breakup, I was a little cool on the idea of watching Albert Brooks’ 1981 film Modern Romance—whose premise was summarized, on the one-sheets at the time, in the following terms: “Robert was madly in love with Mary. Mary was madly in love with Robert. Under the circumstances they did the only thing they could do… they broke up.” But then, in that brutal darkness of heartache,...

With Sam and Dean free from prison (but maybe not the cosmic consequences that could come with Billie’s death), is there any surprise that Sam and Dean would get right back into the hunting game?
The Winchester brothers are pulling out all their investigative skills for this latest case, and that includes some fresh flannel, at least, according to these pictures for Supernatural Season 12 Episode 10.
Mary may be noticeably absent – on assignment with the British Men of Letters? – but it looks like Sam and Dean are working with Castiel.
Though, it looks like the angel is going to be taking a beating a some point. But from who? And why?
Either way, feast your eyes on these preview pictures from “Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets.”

Talk about O.M.G. Sunday night's episode of HBO's The Leftovers did away with the myriad character vignettes and focused on the painful, pious life of Mapleton's religious leader, Father Matt Jamison (Christopher Eccleston). It raised the question: Did faith decide who left - during the sudden departure that claimed the lives of millions - and who was simply leftover? We find Father Matt at the pulpit giving a sermon to a mere dozen followers inside his large sanctuary. After sharing a parable about a boy stricken with cancer, he asks his measly congregation to pray for a sick young girl in the town.

Queen Mary may have chosen Francis on "Reign," but that decision isn't just a historical one - it's a great one because it opens up a host of possibilities for Torrance Coombs' Bash.

"Sherlock" really knows how to end a season.
From the first moments of the Season 3 finale, "His Final Vow" -- set in a crack-house -- to the final twist 90 minutes later, there were few dull moments in the quick-moving, violent plot. Also, the good guys basically won in the end. That's always fun.
Watson is bored again
A month or so into married bliss, and John Watson is bored again. We're talking about the kind of bored that results in combat-filled dreams and casual trips to crack dens with a tire iron in the pocket. Fortunately for John, Mary is supportive of all of this.
Less fortunate is the fact that the newlyweds haven't been seeing much of Sherlock Holmes over the previous few weeks.
Imagine Watson's surprise when he meets up with Sherlock in the very same crack-house he has just infiltrated in order to find a neighbor's teenage son.

"Sherlock" is really coming back! Season 3 begins on Jan. 1 in the UK and Jan. 19 in the United States, but there are already photos from the upcoming season to help fans wait.
Check out this collection of pictures from the premiere, "The Empty Hearse."
Judging from the press conference above, it doesn't take long for Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) to announce his return from the dead. There is probably a case to solve that couldn't wait.
Related: A "Sherlock" mini-episode is coming on Christmas Day.
But until Sherlock is really back, things are a lot more somber, especially for people like Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman).
Mary Morstan looks a little happier at least.
What's the verdict on Watson's mustache? Think he'll keep it?
Mrs. Hudson looks a little shocked. Is Sherlock to blame for this?
Inspector Lestrade, meanwhile, just looks as perplexed (and vaguely amused) as ever.
Poor Molly. With Sherlock dead,...

There’s a surprise at the Abbey (but still no Paul Giamatti) in this week’s gentle, enjoyable episode…
This review contains spoilers.
In the end stages of any faltering relationship, when it’s all but dead and buried and the mental dividing-up of belongings has begun, a destabilising flash of what first brought you together can blow in from nowhere. Are we making a mistake, you think, chucking all this in? We used to be good together, didn’t we. Didn’t we?
This week’s Downton Abbey was just that sunny moment, a visitor from days past whose reappearance reminded us why we were so keen to wrap Downton’s cosy duvet around ourselves in the first place. It was so stuffed with familiar old standards - the Crawleys being confronted by the twentieth century, Violet and Isobel butting heads, a scandal brewing at the Abbey,...

In the lavish CW drama series Reign, two brothers vie for the heart of a queen: one is the prince destined king of France, the other is the bastard son of a king with no hope of ever winning the heart of the woman he loves. Raised together and loved by their father the king, both Prince Francis (Toby Regbo) and his illegitimate brother Sebastian aka Bash (Torrance Coombs) are unusually fond of each other as brothers. But that will soon change with the arrival of Francis’ betrothed, Mary (Adelaide Kane), the Queen of Scots. Simultaneously catching Bash’s eye and heart, Mary may ultimately be the undoing of the strong bonds of brotherly love. In a recent press interview from the set, star Torrance Coombs talked about the unrequited love of Bash for Mary and whether there will be any hope in the race for her heart.

The intrepid star, Idris Elba, is back and this time his battle hardened copper has a new foe and a new love interest to tango with. Check it out!

Red Widow: Goran Visnjic to Play Mob Boss
Deadline is reporting that Goran Visnjic has signed on to play a mob boss named Schiller in the upcoming ABC drama Red Widow. It'll be the actor's first series regular role since his role on ER came to an end in 2008, though he's made appearances on the likes of Pan Am, Leverage, and The Deep.
Visnjic's character will likely end up being the big bad, or equivalent of, for Red Widow, which stars Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill) as Marta, a woman whose mafioso husband was recently murdered by a rival gangster. Rather than go into hiding or fleeing the country with her children, Marta decides to continue her husband's activity and inserts herself even deeper into the world of organized crime in search of justice. The estranged wife of Robert Kennedy Jr. tragically hung herself on May 16. Now, shocking new evidence from the autopsy report reveals that Mary may have tried to halt her suicide attempt. When Mary Kennedy's body was found at her home in Bedford, NY, her fingers were between her neck and the noose implying that she may have tried to stop her suicide at the last minute. Westchester County Medical Examiner Dr. Kunjlata Ashar confirmed to the New York Daily News that "'the fingers from both of [Mrs. Kennedy’s] hands were between the rope and the neck." According to the autopsy report, there was an abrasion on Mary's finger from the rope. Although her fingers' placement between her neck and the rope point to an attempt to save herself, Dr. Ashar says it could simply be that "she was trying to place the rope around her neck." According to NYC Medical Examiner Dr. Shiya Ribowsky,...

Mary may have hanged herself to make a statement that her death was no accident, a relationship expert and family therapist tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. While Mary Kennedy suffered from depression, and alcohol and drug abuse up until her death on May 16, her decision to commit suicide by hanging means she wanted to make sure there was no doubt she would die, Dr. Phil Dembo, relationship expert and family therapist tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. Mary, who was 52, may have chosen to hang herself for three possible reasons, Dr. Dembo says. The mother of four may have wanted "to make sure that she made a statement to whomever she wanted to find her that this was no accident. Perhaps, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.," her estranged husband. "People who commit deliberate suicide, not accidentally by a gesture of attention getting behavior, like Mary Kennedy, don't feel their is any way out of the pain they are feeling,...

The hardest thing a television series will ever do is find a way to successfully close its series and leave fans feeling both satisfied and yet wanting more. As a special treat and heart-felt “thank you” to its loyal fans, In Plain Sight used its last eight episodes of its final season wisely and created a number of story arcs that would tie up the series neatly with a bow on top: including the final fate of the Albuquerque Witsec office, bringing back Mary’s long-lost father, and previewing how its key characters would move forward in their lives beyond the finale.
In this week’s episode, the show has one last chance to resolve one of the biggest storylines that the show has dangled before viewers for five years: Mary and Marshall’s relationship. The show perhaps never intended to become a “will they or won’t they” story,...

Previously on Downton Abbey, the Dowager Countess continued to be correct about everything, from her choice of tea time furs to her assessment of every county shenanigan; Cousin Isobel came down with a dreaded case of Insufferability; Thomas officially changed his last name to Malfoy and purchased a parcel of land in Wiltshire where he made plans to one day build a manor of his own; Mrs. Patmore got engaged to William on Daisy's behalf; Lord Granthem began wearing all of his army uniforms at once, layer upon layer of woolen tunic and trousers, lest anyone doubt his commitment to the war effort; and Michelle Dockery's eyebrows garnered their very own (well-deserved) Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
The year is 1918. Americans have finally joined the war effort; Branson's beloved Bolsheviks have finally axe murdered Tsar Nicholas II and his kids; after losing their most handsome ambassador to the virgin...

Despite all the hype and stars that jockeyed for pole position at Sundance in 2011, it was a low-budget feature from a first-time director with an untested leading lady that became the festival’s breakout star. Marcy Martha May Marlene is a tautly paced drama that centers on a young woman haunted by her experiences with a mesmerizing cult leader played by indie icon and recent Oscar-nominee John Hawkes. Helmed by Borderline Films co-founder Sean Durkin, the gritty indie drew praise for its restraint and enigmatic ambiguity as well as for the powerhouse performance of film newcomer Elizabeth Olsen, who boldly shouldered the role of the complicated title character.
Out of the fest, critics were raving, declaring Olsen an indie ingénue to watch. Many marveled that her only prior onscreen experience was as a supporting player in a handful of her sisters’ (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen) kid-friendly videos. When I...

From the mind of Sean Durkin, “Martha Marcy May Marlene” is an unsettling and stunning experience (check out our Sundance review). The film follows the dual narrative of Martha (Elizabeth Olsen), a young girl who becomes absorbed into a small cult community, only to escape to the confines of her sister’s lake house. As we see both parts of this story run parallel, we discover that Martha may not be ready to assimilate back into society, as she quarrels with her sister and her sister's husband, unable to understand what could be considered a “right” way to behave. Meanwhile, we…...

Downton Abbey season two episode five wasn’t as action packed as the first four episodes but it did feature the most momentus event of the show so far – the death of William. The innocent footman was arguably the show’s most popular character and you could not help but feel that things wouldn’t end well for him after he fought against his father and the Countess of Grantham in his quest to serve King and country. He did at least die a happy man after the Countess strong-armed a skeptical vicar into marrying him to his sweetheart Daisy. She wasn’t exactly a willing bride but she decided to but his feelings ahead of her own and was by his side as he died. Even Thomas seemed to soften his...

HollywoodNews.com: Jane Fonda has gotten the last laugh on QVC. This week her book, “Prime Time,” hits number 2 on the New York Times Best Seller list of hardcover tomes on advice. Remember when QVC dropped her at the last minute? Now “Prime Time” is a huge hit and Fonda is hard at work on the sequel. She’s still making appearances for it though. Watch her “Charlie Rose” interview on YouTube, it’s fascinating.
Meanwhile, Fonda is heading to Toronto next week for the premiere of her new film, “Peace, Love and Misunderstanding.” Distributors are lining up to see this Bruce Bereford directed family saga that co-stars Catherine Keener, Kyle Maclachlan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Elizabeth Olsen–the latter is hot right now from her upcoming “Martha May Marcy Marlene.”
Fonda plays Grace, a hippie, pot smoking mom who is reunited with her adult daughter (Keener) and her kids after Maclachlan leaves them.

Here’s the new poster for Harvey James McAvoy‘s latest movie, The Conspirator. Also starring Robin Wright, Tom Wilkinson, Evan Rachel Wood, Kevin Kline, Danny Huston, Justin Long, Alexis Bledel, Toby Kebbell and Stephen Root.
Directed by Robert Redford with a script written by James D. Solomon, the film takes place at the end of Abraham Lincoln‘s life, following the trial of the group that planned and carried out the assassination.
Here’s the official synopsis for “The Conspirator”:
Against the turbulent backdrop of post-Civil War Washington, rookie lawyer Frederick Aiken (James McAvoy) reluctantly agrees to defend Mary Surratt (Robin Wright) – the lone woman charged as a co-conspirator in the assassination trial of Abraham Lincoln. When his colleagues, friends, and true love begin to desert him, Aiken must rely on Mary’s spirited daughter Anna (Evan Rachel Wood) to help piece together the events leading up to the assassination.

In Plain Sight is back for its fourth season and I've missed the straight talk, the sarcasm, and the quick wit of these characters over the long hiatus.
Mary Shannon claims she's adept at change. Ha! As "The Art of the Steal" has everyone around Mary changing, she's fighting it tooth and nail.
Faber's gone despite their romantic sunset vacation last season.
Apparently thanks to Mary's encouragement he decided to give it another go with his ex. This leads Marshall to point out that Mary prefers a known situation even if it is deeply flawed rather than subject herself to something new that has a better shot at working out.
Is Marshall talking about himself in that scenario?
It looks like he's still wounded from Mary running off with Faber. His claws were out when he ran down the list of Mary's past loves and he couldn't help the dig...

Disappointment and regret loom large in Mike Leigh’s latest film, Another Year (2010). From the opening shots of Janet's (Imelda Staunton) pained expression as she desperately tries to recall a happy moment from her past, you know Leigh will be revisiting familiar territory.
As with Leigh's previous efforts, Another Year once again serves as a showcase for the very best in British acting. Staunton’s appearance may only be a cameo role, but you can see everything in her face: the anger, exasperation and despair that are fuelling her sleepless nights.
The film begins with Janet being gently interviewed by kindly counsellor Gerri (Ruth Sheen). Life is good for Gerri and her geologist husband Tom (Jim Broadbent), who share a happy marriage and a comfortable home. They also enjoy a good relationship with their genial thirty-year-old son Joe (Oliver Maltman), who is a housing caseworker. Vaguely reminiscent of Tom and...

Robert Redford’s Lincoln assassination film The Conspirator is finally getting a first look and here it is courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. The film will hit theaters April 15, 2011. I have been waiting to see this movie and it looks really good. I am a sucker for period films and American history ones to boot. I love the cast as well ranging from the stars to actors like Danny Huston, Tom Wilkinson, Evan Rachel Wood, Alexis Bledel and even Justin Long.

If your life has been sadly bereft of men in muttonchops arguing about the law and scenes of people plotting to assassinate Abraham Lincoln, fear not! What the hell? Two days ago I didn't know she existed, but now third Olsen sister Elizabeth is popping up everywhere during Sundance this year. Yesterday it was for her performance in cult drama (literally, it's about a cult) Marcy Mary May Marlene and today she's starring in Silent House. The haunted house horror film premiered at Sundance and was just picked up for $3M by Liddell Entertainment. Not big news in itself, but the buzz about the movie is that it's allegedly one continuous shot...

Mike Leigh's tenth Feature film, assembled in the usual fashion of character and screenwriting collaboration with his actors, is very much his typical take on the various work-a-day folk in Britain. But then again, glancing at his C.V. you will see that his films which consist of mainly people talking and talking and talking have won pretty much every major world cinema prize imaginable, BAFTA, Oscar, Palm D'Or, Golden Lion, you name it, so the run-of-the-mill Mike Leigh film is pretty fucking excellent. Of the nearly 50 features I caught at this years edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, Another Year comes out on top. I laughed, I cried, I begged for more drinking, smoking and gardening with these regular folks, some of whom have found out the secret of partaking of life's joys, and others on the rock-bottom pit of despair. But mostly, the ritual of social behavior,...

Chicago – Sandra Bullock may have had a spectacular 2009, headlining hits “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side” and being named Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of the Year, but she also reached the low point of her career (yes, lower than “Speed 2”) in the horrendous, awful, laugh-free “All About Steve,” a worthy candidate for the worst film of the year just passed and now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
Blu-Ray Rating: 1.0/5.0
One of the reasons that I respond so vehemently to junk like “All About Steve” is that I can’t stand what I call hypocritical comedy: screenwriting that asks us to point and laugh at the abnormalities of a character only to give her a big hug at the end and teach us a lesson about embracing individuality. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t mock a character for being different (or, in this case, possibly mentally handicapped...
