(Featured Role - Musical) for "The Mystery of Edwin Drood;" and in 1988
as Best Actor (Musical) for playing Billy Crocker in a revival of
"Anything Goes."
An accomplished Broadway star, He created the role of John Jasper in
"Drood" and also starred as Molina in "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and
Billy Crocker in "Anything Goes" on the New York Stage. McGillin was
twice nominated for the Tony Award.
As of August 2006, he has achieved over 1 500 performances as the title
character in the Broadway production of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's
smash-hit musical, "The Phantom of the Opera", earning him the title of
the Longest-Running Broadway Phantom.
