W. Colin McKay
- Actor
- Writer
- Producer
W. Colin McKay, for a while, toyed with the idea of an acting career
but quickly realized that it was more fun to write the words than say
them. For the stage, his dark comedy Where Nobody Belongs was produced
at East/West Players, and Snitch, a "critic's choice" play he co-wrote
with George Cybulski, was produced at the Fountain Theatre in Los
Angeles. Gentleman's War, a play about Africa, was a finalist in the
Kennedy Center's New American Play Series. His new play, Shadow War,
was chosen as a winner for the New Play in America Series at Charlotte
Repertory, Charlotte, N.C. For television, McKay has been on staff of a
daytime serial and has written for animation. He currently has several
screenplays in development. Snitch has also been turned into a
screenplay. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America, West, and
The Dramatists Guild. McKay was born and raised on the West Coast and
has traveled most of the United States. He currently resides in Los
Angeles with his wife and twin sons.
