- Peter McSweeney is a Mancunian/Irish screenwriter, actor and director based in London and LA. He trained as an actor at EAST 15 Acting School (foundation) and then achieved a full scholarship to train at the Arts Ed School of Acting, London on their BA (Hons) Acting.
Upon graduating, instead of embarking on the standard job hunt, he felt he needed to see more of the world and experience life away from the industry. He worked all over America, Japan, Australia and most of Eastern Europe in a variety of interesting and exciting jobs, meeting a wide range of fascinating people.
When he returned he worked a club promoter, opened a creative events company and taught communication skills. This helped him develop his screenwriting skills along with venturing into stand up comedy (performed with Alan Davies, Romesh Ranganathan and Sara Pascoe) and ultimately becoming a more earthy, grounded actor.
He has written screenplays for RADA/Warner Bros (such as the THE FINAL FROLIC) and optioned two classical novels which are currently being adapted into a screenplay. He worked with Jeremy Piven on an adaptation of Arthur Miller's 'The Performance.'
Peter is the series creator for JENNER, the biographical drama about Dr Edward Jenner.
He recently (2022) directed THE TEST starring Clive Russell.
His classical training and real world experience has allowed him to develop into a more engaging artist, whereas running his own companies has given him a valuable set of business skills as a producer / show runner.

- The year he graduated from High School, the area he walked home from had the most muggings and streets robberies per square mile in Europe.
- The first film he directed Solace was shot in the real Soho Whore Houses, Sex Shops and Drug Dens.
- He is originally from Manchester but family are Irish.
- He trained received a scholarship to train at The Arts Educational School of Acting, in his year were Finn Jones (Iron Fist/Game of Thrones) and Cesare Taurasi.
- He worked with Sacha Dhawan several times in the theatre as teenager and they have remained close friends since.
