Encores Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores production of 1776, the classic Tony Award-winning musical about how the founding fathers drafted the Declaration of Independence and gave birth to a new nation. 1776 will star Terence Archie, John Behlmann, Larry Bull,Nikki Renee Daniels, Andre De Shields, Macintyre Dixon,Santino Fontana, Alexander Gemignani, John Hickok, John Hillner,John Larroquette, Kevin Ligon, John-Michael Lyles, Laird Mackintosh, Michael McCormick, Michael Medeiros, Christiane Noll, Bryce Pinkham, Wayne Pretlow, Tom Alan Robbins, Robert Sella, Ric Stoneback, Jubilant Sykes, Vishal Vaidya, Nicholas Ward, and Jacob Keith Watson.

London/La-based The Little Film Company has added three titles to its international sales slate for this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (Sept 10-20).
The first title is Reparation, a psychological thriller that marks the debut feature for director Kyle Ham.
Starring Jon Huertas (The Objective) and Marc Menchaca (She’s Lost Control), Ham co-wrote the screenplay with debutant Steve Timm and produced alongside Timm and Matthew Lessall.
The film’s plot follows a man with a three-year gap in his memory who tries to protect his family from his mysterious, forgotten past.
The company has also acquired Blink, Michael Medeiros’ dark, comic thriller set in small town New England, starring Tom Pelphrey, Ilvi Dulack and Karen Chamberlain.
The third title is Bad Blood, a suspense thriller from director David Pulbook (Last Dance). Produced by Anthony I. Ginnane (Patrick), the film will star Xavier Samuel (Fury) and Dennis Haysbert ([link...

While not as kinky, dark, or schizoid as debuting director/screenwriter Michael Medeiros intends, Tiger Lily Road succeeds on its own small, claustrophobic level. Medeiros is a longtime character actor, and it shows: His two stars, Ilvi Dulack and Karen Chamberlain, playing middle-aged, sex-starved small-town women, have a juicy, simmering rapport. And there are enough evocative winter scenes to subvert the story's potential staginess.
