Eva Mendes is happy she had kids in her 40s, three years after she met her now-husband Ryan Gosling.
In a conversation with People, the actress recounted the public reaction to her being pregnant at 40 and how she couldn’t have imagined being a mother at any other point in her life.
“When I was 40, it was a big deal for people when I was pregnant, and it wasn’t for me,” Mendes said. “And then I was 42 and I was pregnant with my second one and people were like, ‘Oh my God, you’re going to be so tired. That’s why people have kids in their 20s.’ I was like, that’s the most sorry, asinine thing I’ve ever heard.”

Every successful man has a strong woman behind him, and Eva Mendes is the perfect example of that. After a string of hit movies, such as Derek Cianfrance’s smash hit The Place Beyond the Pines, which sparked a protracted romance between her and Ryan Gosling, Mendes became a prominent actor in her own right.
The 2012 flick may have contributed to their off-screen romance, but the Barbie star genuinely detested his character. That being said, despite his reputation for giving melancholic and enticing performances on screen, Gosling found it difficult to fall in love with one particular role: that of the character in The Place Beyond the Pines. In fact, he hated the character so much that he felt “ashamed” to even look at himself in the mirror.

And the light-hearted rivalry between the two actors appears poised to persist, at least that’s what it seems from the Barbie star’s reaction to a reporter sharing his preference for the Christopher Nolan film over the Oscar-nominated movie.

Ryan Gosling is opening up about how Eva Mendes and their two daughters serve as a north star for him in his life.
In a Men’s Health cover story with The Fall Guy director David Leitch, the Barbie actor and Bullet Train filmmaker were asked if they have a motto they live by or a north star that guides their decisions.
Gosling explained that he doesn’t really have a motto, but will find himself thinking about his deathbed when faced with a decision, saying that considering what will matter then is what helps him choose the best thing for him.
“It puts things into perspective,” the three-time Oscar nominee told the publication. “It always comes back to family first. I don’t think I’ll regret anything professionally, but I do think when it comes to Eva and the girls, they come first.”

Eva Mendes is known for her insanely good looks and has often been considered one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. The Hitch star is known for her roles in films such as Ghost Rider, We Own The Night, and The Place Beyond the Pines, the latter of which was where she met her future partner Ryan Gosling.
While it has been a while since she has starred in any film, Eva Mendes was the subject of a tabloid rumor back in 2007. The actress was reportedly rumored to be pregnant after being seen by paparazzi with a ‘bump’. However, the actress denied the claim back then and Evan promoted body positivity by speaking about how putting on a little bit of weight was not that big of a deal.

Eva Mendes praised Ryan Gosling’s Cuban accent in the “Can’t Tonight” Saturday Night Live sketch.

Known for breaking character and cracking up Saturday Night Live cast members in his previous two hosting stints on the NBC sketch program, Ryan Gosling stayed true to himself tonight, laughing in every skit he was in, much to the delight of the studio audience, and challenging his co-stars to keep a straight face — even seasoned veterans like Kenan Thompson.

Bradley Cooper’s talents could aptly be summarized with the title of one of his films, Limitless. With over two decades dedicated to Hollywood, he’s undeniably one of its biggest stars. From the success of The Hangover series to his MCU journey as Rocket in The Guardians of the Galaxy, he has done quite a lot to cement his name in the industry.
Yet, despite his immense success, he hadn’t quite felt welcomed into “the club.” It was his recent departure into more serious roles, including stepping into a role replacing Leonardo DiCaprio, that allowed him to confront the insecurities and emotions he’d accrued over the years.

Exclusive: Keep your eyes peeled for how Sunday’s extended episode of Bluey performs — its success just might decide whether TV’s most famous heeler dog family step foot in the feature film world.
In an exclusive interview with Deadline, Bluey creator Joe Brumm addressed the future of the Australia kids TV juggernaut, and it sounds like 30-minute special ‘The Sign’ — four times the length of regular episodes — will play a key role in what shape the story of anthropomorphic Australian sisters Bluey and Bingo takes next.
To date, the three seasons have all run seven-minute episodes. “I’m loving going longer on ‘The Sign’, and I’d love to try to go longer — I definitely would not rule that out,” he said. “That’s why I’m very interested to see how The Sign goes down with the audience. Obviously it’s four times as long as a normal episode.

Bradley Cooper is unhesitant and unequivocally bold while listing out his thoughts. Especially when it comes to the projects he takes on, he doesn’t waver to let everyone know his thoughts on the story he has chosen to work on. This is why he was almost willing to quit the very movie that had Ryan Gosling head over heels in love with the actress who later became his wife, Eva Mendes.

The Place Beyond the Pines director Derek Cianfrance revealed that Bradley Cooper nearly quit the 2013 film after receiving a rewritten script.
The filmmaker, who also co-wrote the crime drama starring Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, recently told IndieWire at the New Directors/New Films festival that he brought in screenwriter Darius Marder to rewrite “every word” of the movie just before filming began.
However, Cianfrance said once the Star Is Born actor read the updated script, he was not very happy with the changes to his character, Avery, a police officer who kills an empathetic thief (Gosling) halfway through the movie.

However, Cianfrance said once the Star Is Born actor read the updated script, he was not very happy with the changes to his character, Avery, a police officer who kills an empathetic thief (Gosling) halfway through the movie.

Filmmaker Derek Cianfrance’s 2012 crime and family drama, “The Place Beyond The Pines,” starring Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, and Bradley Cooper, was one of our favorite films of 2012, but it almost didn’t happen. Or at least, it almost didn’t happen the way it was intended to.
In a recent IndieWire Screen Talk live at the New Directors/New Films festival, Cianfrance, who was there in attendance in a conversation as part of the festival, revealed that following some heavy script changes, Bradley Cooper tried to exit the ‘Pines’ movie at the last minute.

The Willennium may have started nearly a quarter of a century ago, but Will Smith has been dominating on screen since the early 1990s. The Academy Award-winning star has been a blockbuster juggernaut with a commanding presence on screen, dabbling in anything and everything. Serious fare like "Concussion," edgy superhero stories like "Hancock" and "Suicide Squad," action-packed dramas like "Enemy of the State," sci-fi thrillers like "I, Robot," musicals like "Aladdin," and plenty of goofy nonsense like "Shark Tale" and "Wild Wild West" have all let Big Willy Style flex his acting muscles and show that he truly is a jack of all trades. From his humble beginnings in the ensemble piece "Where the Day Takes You" to the recently announced "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," Smith is one of Hollywood's most prolific and profitable performers. And fortunately, he's also one of the best. It's time to get jiggy wit'...

Ryan Gosling is perhaps one of the most handsome men in the industry. Over the years, fans loved the actor for his masculine features, which included his facial features like well-defined cheekbones and a square jawline. For the recently concluded awards season, fans believed that Gosling tried to glam up by getting fillers on his mid-face region. One surgeon believed that The Fall Guy actor had overdone his fillers, which unfortunately looked unnatural up close.

Actress Eva Mendes spoke about meeting her partner and actor Ryan Gosling when they made their 2012 movie ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’.
“I’ve never experienced anything like that,” she said of working with her now-partner on the Today show.
“The way he works, his commitment to his craft, how he wants to make everything as best as it can be — and that means making his costars as best as they can be. Unfortunately — or fortunately — there’s only one Ryan, so I pretty much stopped acting after that,” she added.
Mendes and Gosling started dating after meeting on set. The two, who are private about their relationship, share two daughters together.
The couple welcomed their first child, Esmeralda Amada, in September 2014, and then had Amada Lee in April 2016.
Mendes also spoke about taking a step back from acting after more than a decade onscreen not being a difficult decision to make.

With The Fall Guy, Ryan Gosling and director David Leitch created a love letter to below-the-line filmmakers, specifically the stunt teams behind big blockbuster movies. Leitch, who is a former stuntman turned director, noted in the post-screening Q&a at SXSW on Tuesday that early creative conversations with Gosling led to personal touches being added to the final film.
Gosling plays Colt, a stuntman who, after getting out of the business for a year, is called back into action when the star of a big studio movie suddenly disappears and that big studio movie happens to be directed by his ex (Emily Blunt). Colt gets wrapped up in a murder and cover-up that become much bigger than him or the film he is desperate to get made. Along the way to trying to solve the murder, he gets a sidekick in the form of a dog who only understands commands given in French.

A decade before Knight and Day was released, a movie like it would have killed with audiences: Come on, it starred Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz and looked to perfectly mash humor and action in a way that so few male/female-led action-comedies had for years. Yet, it didn’t connect. But why? There are a lot of reasons, really, and not just, as Roy Miller would say, “one of those things.” Through lousy marketing, hokey promotion, poorly timed sneak previews, and even Katie Holmes, Knight and Day fizzled, less “beautiful dress” than beautiful mess…But it did at least inspire a Bollywood remake, so suck on that, Vanilla Sky! The glitzy world of Hollywood is hardly a warm place. Acting is a very demanding job and getting a scene right is rarely a comfortable experience. So was the case with Eva Mendes, who was in a nervous fit while filming a scene.
Known for her courage in doing bold scenes, the actress was far from her usual confident self during this one scene. Not that anyone can blame her. Working opposite Ryan Gosling would give anyone jitters. The Canadian star tends to have that effect on people.
However, there might be more to this story than it appears.
