History will be made on “American Idol” this season with a new Showstopper round added to Hollywood Week. On Night 8 of season 19, which airs March 28, judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will decided which of the 64 remaining contestants will get to sing for America’s vote.
After the two nights of Showstoppers, only two dozen artists will make the cut. This top tier of performers will then fight it out for the chance to be on the live shows, which begin in early April. At that point, you will be able to predict the outcome of each episode in our predictions center.

Between a contestant’s frightening on-stage collapse to an equally frightening performance by future momager Kellyanne Conway, Monday’s American Idol was full of surprises.
But before we dive into the results, here’s a quick reminder of the notable names we lost on Sunday: Ammon Olayan, Brianna Collichio, Cameron McGhar, Celeste Butler, Christian McGuckian, Christian Terry, DJ Johnson, Erika Perry, James Perdue, Liv Grace Blue, Mason Picks, She Nova, Trinity Rose, Tryzdin Grubbs, Vahhley and Yurisbel. (I’d say they’ll all be remembered… but this is Season 19, so let’s not kid ourselves.)

Those two score of contestants will then take turns performing on their own and with celebrity guests. Only half of this Top 40 will move on in the competition. “Are you the country version of me?” Katy Perry asks Hannah Everhart during the second episode of “American Idol” Season 19, airing Sunday, February 21 on ABC. The two females have a striking physical resemblance thanks mostly to their big blue eyes and quirky personalities. Hannah concedes that she’s been compared to the superstar pop singer many times before, prompting Katy to inquire, “Were we separated at birth?” Watch the hilarious sneak peek video above.
See ‘American Idol’ Winners List (Seasons 1 – 18)
Hannah, who readily admits she doesn’t “have a filter,” is 17 years old and from Canton, Mississippi, a small town where “everybody knows everybody.” She flew in an airplane for the very first time for this California audition, an experience she calls “crazy.” She laughs, “Like, how many people get to say that they used the bathroom in the air?”

A TikToker with political connections, a speedo-clad model with a Zoolander complex and a reality competition veteran with a grudge against Meghan Trainor were among the standout auditions (for better or worse) as American Idol returned to ABC for its 19th season on Sunday.
Let’s get that first one out of the way: No conversation about the premiere’s most memorable moments would be complete without discussing Claudia Conway, the daughter of former Donald Trump senior advisor Kellyanne Conway. Joined for in-person support by her father (and virtually by her mother), the 16-year-old presented her best attempt at Rihanna...

“American Idol” returns on February 14 for its fourth season on ABC and 19th overall. As always, Ryan Seacrest is the host of this reality competition series. Returning to the judges table are country superstar Luke Bryan, pop princess Katy Perry and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie.
A huge part of the appeal of “American Idol” are the audition episodes. These make for must-see TV as much for the awful acts as the ones that sound and look like they could go all the way. Over the course of five episodes, we will see the three judges give upwards of 150 contestants that coveted ticket to Hollywood.
By the end of Hollywood Week the judges will have culled these would-be winners down to just 40. Those lucky few made it to the showcase round. Only half of them made the cut. The Top 20 then took turns performing on their own and with celebrity guests.

The Notebook Primer introduces readers to some of the most important figures, films, genres, and movements in film history.Since the early 1970s, Isabelle Huppert has amassed a staggering body of work. Relentlessly prolific and uncompromisingly daring, she has embodied an eclectic range of characters, often delving into the enigmatic recesses of individuals who are by turns destructive, tormented, and obsessed, and yet can be audaciously empowered, sexually complex, and passionately reflective. Huppert “surprises and unsettles us,” notes David Parkinson, writing for the British Film Institute, doing so by “relaxing her tightly coiled control and channeling her strength and energy into doing something shockingly impulsive.” But that control and impulsiveness was not instantaneous, nor was it effortless. Huppert’s abilities have been steadily honed over the course of more than 140 appearances in film and television. And if there is a darkness lingering over some of her more disturbing characterizations, there...

Whitney Cummings has opened up about the allegations of harassment of underage swirling around her former co-star Chris D'Elia.
A Twitter user named Simone Rossi recently shared screenshots of emails she exchanged with D’Elia in July 2014 and January 2015, when she was 16 years old.
During the exchanges, the You and Undateable actor requested a photo of Simone, and also asked if they could hang/”make out” during a stand-up tour stop in Tempe, Ariz.
“I still can’t believe Netflix cast Chris D’Elia as the pedophile in Season 2 of You. Like, the literal Irony,” Simone tweeted.
“F— you @ChrisDElia and also @Netflix,” she added. “I highly doubt casting this creep as a pedophile was a coincidence.”
Since the post went viral, other women have come forward to speak out against D'Elia, sharing similar stories of being preyed upon by the actor. Some of these women were underage at the time.

Whitney Cummings has broken her silence on the sexual misconduct allegations against Chris D’Elia, saying she’s “devastated and enraged” by what she’s learned.
Last week, multiple women on social media accused D’Elia of trying to engage with them sexually, some being as young as 16 when the alleged encounters happened. A Twitter thread of the allegations went viral on Wednesday night, with some women accusing D’Elia of sending them inappropriate messages and attempting to solicit nude pictures from them.
Cummings and D’Elia starred together on the NBC series “Whitney,” which Cummings created and based on her life.
“It’s taken me a couple days to process the information I have learned about Chris. I’m devastated and enraged by what I’ve read and learned. This is a pattern of predatory behavior. This abuse of power is enabled by silence. Now that I’m aware, I won’t be silent,...

It's that time again, and NBC has revealed it's 2011-2012 schedule. A couple of things have been kicked to the curb, and a host of new shows are coming to fill things in. I have a preview of the new fall shows, and the full schedule for you. There are a few surprises on the cut and not cut side of things, and the new shows have a bit of something for everyone. It's a whole lot of info, so let's just jump in.
