Simon Cowell is said to be keen to land Jessica Simpson for the Us version of ‘The X Factor’.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, the 51 year old star admitted that he has been in talks with the blonde singer and actress and insiders say that she is at the top of his list to take on one of the coveted judge-and-mentor roles on the show when it launches this September.
A source told People: “There [are] loads of conversations happening at the moment. No one has been offered a judging role yet as new names keep coming forward who want the role, but there are some frontrunners and it’s fair to say Jessica is one of them. She’s very keen.

Jessica Simpson is being lined up for "The X Factor (Us)". The singer, actress and reality TV star is reportedly at the top of Simon Cowell's list to take on one of the coveted judge-and-mentor roles on the show when it launches later this year.

The first never-before-heard music from Michael Jackson is set to be released in November. 10 unreleased tracks from Jackson are set to become his first album of new material in nearly ten years.
A rep for the Jackson estate told Rolling Stone about the plans for the album, which would be considered his first new collection since 2001's "Invincible."
The material will be compromised of the tracks left behind by Jackson after his death, which is estimated to be over 100. Among the material being considered for the album are tracks produced by Rodney Jerkins, with who he collaborated with on "Invincible," as well as Akon, and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
Among the leftover material are tracks from as far back as his "Thriller" and "Bad" days. "Every time that [Jackson] recorded, he over-recorded," former Sony Music CEO Tony Mottola told Rolling Stone last year. "He would record anywhere...
