The plays, "The Civil WarS: A Tree is Measured When It Is Down," were performed in the American premiere, American Repertory Theatre and Boston Institute of Contemporary Art production at the Loeb Stage in Cambridge, Massachusetts with Priscilla Smith (Snow Owl); Jeremy Geidt (King Lear); Frances Schrand (Earth Mother) and Diana D'Aquila (Abraham Lincoln) in the cast. Robert Wilson wrote "Act III: Scene E. " Robert Wilson and he wrote the "Act IV, Scene A and Epilogue." Christopher Martin and Daniel Woker wrote the English translation of "Act IV: Scene A and Epilogue." Robert Wilson and Tom Kamm were set designers. Yoshio Yabara was costume designer. Jennifer Tipton and Robert Wilson were lighting designers. Hans Peter Kuhn was compositions and sound designer. Ann-Christin Rommen was assistant director. The play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Robert Brustein was artistic director.
