- Very popular Norwegian actor, often seen in comic roles, but also an outstanding performer in serious plays. Was familiar with the show business from childhood, his uncle was the beloved comedian Leif Juster.
Started his career at Studioteatret in 1948, later he was engaged at Chat Noir, Edderkoppen, (led by his uncle) Det Norske Teatret, and Oslo Nye Teater. With a wonderful singing voice, he was much used in musicals, most notable as Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof", and in a cabaret based on the songs of Evert Taube: "Så lenge skuta kan gå".
In Radio and TV he often appeared with imitations of well-known people, like politicians or colleagues from the theater, including his own uncle.
In films, he was much wanted in comedies, playing complicated or confused characters.
For some years he had problems with a troubled heart, which finally took his life during a performance with colleague Sølvi Wang in the springtime of 1981.- IMDb Mini Biography By: pekka trondsen
