Irina Shayk is giving fans a glimpse into motherhood and the value of hard work she tries to teach her five-year-old daughter, Lea.
The model, who’s celebrating 15 years in the industry with her digital cover of V magazine, gushes over being a mom to her daughter, whom she shares with ex Bradley Cooper, and shares why her little one “has no filter.”
“You know, we don’t have a nanny, so sometimes [when my friends suggest] dinner or a concert, they always say ‘We know what Irina is going to say; we have no nanny.’ They say it’s my saving line. But we choose not to have a nanny,” Shayk told the magazine, adding that “being a mom is one of the most amazing things ever.”

Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection is an authorized documentary of The Rocketeer and its late creator, marking the 40th anniversary of the character's comic-book debut as a backup strip in Pacific Comics' Starslayer #2. Influenced by classic adventure serials, Golden Age comics, and 1950s pin-up Bettie Page, The Rocketeer was a retro-futuristic story of 1930s stunt pilot Cliff Secord who discovers a rocket pack.
The 99-minute movie features 35 interviews with friends, collaborators, and admirers including director Joe Johnston, whose 1991 Rocketeer movie prefigured the similarly styled Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Batman: The Animated Series creator Bruce Timm, Punisher actor Thomas Jane, and others.
Already filmed, the Kickstarter is purely to fund the physical release.
You can receive the Blu-ray with a pledge of $35 or more, and an exclusive Rocketeer one-shot comic is available for the higher pledges. This is based on an unmade comic-book script by the 1991 screenwriters Danny Bilson and...

There’s a scene in “The Rocketeer,” Disney’s big budget would-be blockbuster from the summer of 1991, that ranks among the most profoundly strange and transfixing moments in the studio’s storied history.
The scene, which takes place in 1938, unfolds right before the movie’s big, fiery climax at L.A.’s Griffith Observatory. Our hero, L.A. stunt pilot-turned-makeshift-superhero Cliff Secord (Billy Campbell) is in the office of Howard Hughes (a perfectly cast Terry O’Quinn). Hughes, it turns out, is the inventor of an experimental rocket pack that Secord has happened upon and utilized in a series of exciting action sequences. The FBI is there too. Hughes wants his rocket back, stressing how potentially dangerous it is, especially if it fell into the wrong hands. Secord wants to keep it.
To underline his point, Hughes shows Secord a film. “Keep watching, kid. It cost a man’s life to get this out of Germany,...

I absolutely love The Rocketeer. Granted, I am a sucker for anything set in the 1930s and 1940s, be it comic book, film, or pop culture, but Dave Stevens created something beautiful with The Rocketeer. For those that came in late, The Rocketeer was created by writer/artist Dave Stevens way back in 1982 and originally had a home at Pacific Comics. A homage to those old 1930s and 1940s movie serials Stevens’ work was hugely influential at the time and still is to this day. Stevens died in 2008, sadly, but Idw has kept the torch burning with various Rocketeer projects since then, both reprints and original stuff. With this one, Stephen Mooney has decided to do all the heavy lifting himself, both writing and drawing, and it’s a lot of lifting, as this series is celebrating the...

Tempest Storm, the often-flame-haired striptease artist, burlesque performer, star of early Russ Meyer films and later a rock generation icon, died Tuesday in her Las Vegas apartment. She was 93.
Her death was reported to the Las Vegas Review-Journal by Storm’s longtime friend and business partner Harvey Robbins. Storm had been suffering from dementia and recently underwent hip surgery.
Robbins was at Storm’s home when she died, as were a nurse and Las Vegas burlesque performers Kalani Kokonuts and Miss Redd.
According to the Burlesque Hall of Fame, Storm was born Annie Blanche Banks in Eastman, Ga, and at the age of 20, already twice-married, moved to Hollywood. At first working as a cocktail waitress, she soon found work as a striptease performer with the Follies Theater. She adopted the stage name Tempest Storm in 1950 and, shortly after her arrival in L.A. became friends with neighbor Marilyn Monroe.

Scream fans have one big question while going into each new movie in the saga. No, it’s not about who’s behind the Ghostface mask this time. It’s actually “what’s Courteney Cox’s hair going to be like in this one?” In the four previous films in the horror franchise, Cox has sported a wildly different look each time she played sassy reporter Gale Weathers. Her most infamous hairstyle, though, is definitely the weirdly short bangs she has in Scream 3.
The bangs, that truly belong in a horror movie, are probably one of the most memorable things about the third, and arguably weakest, entry in the series. But Cox has always taken the unfortunate ‘do with good humor. Last Halloween, for instance, she hilariously gave herself an impromptu haircut to recreate the look in an Instagram video that went viral.

Moviegoers got shocking news earlier this month when it was announced James Dean would be digitally recreated using CGI visual effects in order to play a leading role in the upcoming Vietnam War action-drama “Finding Jack.” Dean died in a car crash in September 1955 at the age of 24 after leading the three feature films “East of Eden,” “Rebel Without a Cause,” and “Giant.” Bringing Dean back to the big screen through CGI has proved controversial, but it’s just the beginning for Worldwide Xr, a new company that “aims to bring digital humans to traditional film as well as augmented and virtual reality” (via Variety).

The actor, 47, commented on a meme of Cox, 54, from the 2000 horror sequel that read, “If you ever feel like s—, just remember Courteney Cox’s hair in Scream 3.”
Arquette revealed he was the one behind the hairstyle, which was modeled after the pin-up model Bettie Page.
“I have to take the fall for this. I suggested a Bettie Page look. It just didn’t work. I take full responsibility,” Arquette commented in a snapshot captured by Comments by Celebs on Tuesday.

As she packed for an upcoming trip to London, the actress looked back on her recent tropical getaway and shared a glamorous photograph from the vacation that showed off her impressive figure.

Everybody sees dead people in “I Still See You,” a slickly produced but none-too-scary thriller designed for that teen audience which prefers that its spooky Halloween fare involve cute guys of variable mortality fawning around a mildly misfit quirky-girl protagonist. If that sounds kinda “Twilight,” you’ve got that right — the source material is a standalone novel by Ya specialist Daniel Waters, whose “Generation Dead” series more or less substituted zombies for vampires in a similar supernatural teen romance saga.
Here, we have live boys and ghost boys alike fluttering around the suburban Goth flame of Bella Thorne in a movie that will no doubt play best to the book’s fans. Newcomers will find this adapted tale’s fantasy logic arbitrary, its plot convoluted, and the sum effect wildly unconvincing without being nearly so fun. Still, it’s given a suitably gauzy feel by director Scott Speer that will appeal to the target demo.

Twenty years ago, Jennifer Garner thought her career couldn’t get better. She’d survived nine months of sleeping in a kitchen in Manhattan and eating spaghetti with butter while understudying for an Ivan Turgenev play on Broadway, scored a few walk-on parts on TV, and landed the lead in a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie in which she played a 19th century orphan.
“Making a couple hundred dollars a week to pay for my apartment, I really thought that was as good as it was going to get,” laughs Garner on an afternoon in Los Angeles. “I was completely and totally thrilled with that.”
Her Hallmark director, Christopher Cain, invited her to fly out to Malibu and stay with him and his wife, Sharon. The rental car company ran out of cheap sedans, so they handed her the keys to a convertible. One day, she drove around, got lost,...

I would never guess that Courtney Stodden would actually come out with an album, and I would be waiting with unironic bated breath. It's true, though: Courtney is working on her first Ep, Off the Record and it looks like she's reinventing herself with a redhead persona named Ember. But don't kid yourself, Courtney, the real Courtney. You know, whoever that is. She explained back in April her motivation for telling her story. "I've been in the media now for seven years and there are a lot of misconceptions out there about who I am, justifiably so because I've put on an image and you know, kind of hid behind this, like, persona," she shared on Instagram. "I am very insecure, I'm a very insecure person I deal with depression and anxiety, severe anxiety. I've had losses and a lot of love for people and vice versa." Bless. Look, there...

Pink's new "Beautiful Trauma" music video starring Channing Tatum definitely has a lot going on.
The 38-year-old singer debuted the highly anticipated video for her latest single on Tuesday, after teasing it during the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday night. The elaborate five-minute video features Pink and Tatum playing a married couple in the '50s, who aren't as straight-laced as they at first seem.
The first clues the two don't fit into the Pleasantville-style cliche is that Tatum's character is actually looking at photos of' '50s pinup model Bettie Page instead of reading the newspaper, and dumps alcohol into his morning coffee. Meanwhile, Pink pops pills and charmingly reveals herself to be terrible at common household chores.
The video then takes increasingly bolder turns, as Tatum's character reveals his penchant for cross-dressing -- which turns out Pink's character is totally into -- and later, bondage with another pleather-clad woman. Throughout the video, Pink...

Violet Chachki, drag star and winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race season seven, made history as the first drag queen to model in a women’s lingerie campaign. Chachki is the featured model for the “Never the Girl Next Door” campaign for Bettie Page Lingerie, a line by the London-based lingerie brand Playful Promises.
In an exclusive interview with Et, Chachki said that it felt “amazing” getting to model for this campaign. “I would have never imagined, when I first started performing as a drag queen, that this would ever happen. It’s surreal.”
The lingerie found in the new collection is vintage in style, featuring such items like structured corselettes, spiral stitched bullet bras, high-waisted briefs and satin robes. “It’s very graphic and playful,” Chachki said. “That’s what I really love about glamour and drag; it’s about celebrating femininity and fun, while being really provocative.”

Brace yourself: You’re going to want to binge “Alias Grace.” The six-episode limited series — streaming now on Netflix following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and subsequent broadcasting in Canada on the CBC — is downright hypnotic, rapturous, and engrossing.
Watching evokes the sense of sinking into a great novel, which seems only fitting, given that it’s based on the 1996 book by Margaret Atwood, one of our greatest living novelists. But everything in the execution is owed to the detail-rich writing of Sarah Polley and direction of Mary Harron, who take this real-life tale of murder and give it rich depths, digging into the harm done to a human soul by a lifetime of oppression.
At the center of “Grace” is Grace Marks (played by Sarah Gadon in a star-making turn), a 19th-century Irish immigrant convicted of a notorious double murder, whose mental state comes...

Mary Harron's long Hollywood career as a director, from I Shot Andy Warhol and American Psycho to The Notorious Bettie Page and Netflix's upcoming series Alias Grace, has inspired women filmmakers following her lead.
But Harron doesn't expect men to be especially sensitive, either as actors in her movies or offscreen. Welcome to Random Roles, wherein we talk to actors about the characters who defined their careers. The catch: They don’t know beforehand what roles we’ll ask them to talk about.
The actor: Gretchen Mol had a quicker ascent to fame than most. Coming into acting from a brief but successful modeling career, she quickly established herself, moving from strong but small roles in Abel Ferrara films to major supporting roles in movies like Rounders and The Thirteenth Floor. Her biggest acclaim came in 2005 for her lead performance in The Notorious Bettie Page, and she’s since continued to work steadily in film and television, most notably for five seasons as Gillian Darmody on Boardwalk Empire. Mol graciously reminisced with us about being a working New York actor, the macho atmosphere on 3:10 To Yuma, and throwing water in Steve Buscemi’s face—on camera, of course ...
