Trivia
Started making movies with his brother Emile in 1894, after purchasing his first film camera at a fair. It was an Edison machine.
Was originally a phonograph importer before deciding to build his own film studio.
In 1902 he acquired the Lumiere patents.
Using Charles's phonograph, the Dufayel store at 24 rue de Clignancourt, Paris, started (March 15th 1900) to show sound film.
16th February 1905: At the location of 31 Boulevard des Italiens, Paris, he opened a display room to show his films to showmen and cinema owners.
