After a 48-hour labor to welcome her first child, son Kingston Payne Brandt-Gilbert, followed by grueling feeding struggles, Luciferstar Lesley-Ann Brandt was so overjoyed by a successful moment of breastfeeding that she took to Instagram to share the accomplishment.
“This is motherhood. Needing to pee so badly but you just rocked the perfect latch and Bebe is nuzzled in nicely for a good feed. Priorities people,” she wrote in August, later telling Et that “as a woman, your body goes through so much -- hormonally, physically and emotionally -- when you have a child, so to celebrate this tiny little moment felt good.”
However, not everyone deemed the small parenting joy celebratory.
The post and subsequent photos saw Brandt attracting criticism for sharing what some called a “private moment” and insults for “seeking attention” by showing parts of her breasts on social media. The 35-year-old South African native was advised to “cover up,” despite living in California...

Lesley-Ann Brandt is having one helluva time on Fox’s Lucifer.
As the titular Devil’s righthand demon, Brandt’s Maze is among TV’s most fierce females. Yet as Season 2 continues to unfold, we’re seeing the character struggle to reconcile her lonnnnnngtime livelihood of torturing wayward souls with her new fate “stuck” on Earth, as a human.
That highly entertaining dichotomy was well-illustrated in the most recent episode, where stone-cold Maze joined in a jaunty Girls Night Out with Chloe, Dr. Linda and Ella. Here, Brandt takes stock of the new bonds Maze is forming, as well as...

Lifetime has decided to cancel their Sunday night drama, The Protector, after one season on the air. The decision doesn't come as a surprise since the writing has been on the wall for awhile. While the Ally Walker series has some devoted fans, the ratings just weren't high enough for a second season.
The Protector follows Gloria Sheppard (Walker), a single mother and detective in the Lapd Robbery-Homicide Division. A recent divorcee and single mother, Gloria has to perform her duties as a homicide detective while taking care of her young sons, Nick (Sage Ryan) and Leo (Thomas Robinson). They all move in with her brother, Davey Sheppard (Chris Payne Gilbert), and he helps her raise the boys. At work, Gloria works on some of Los Angeles' most high profile crimes with her partner, Detective Michelle Dulcett (Tisha Campbell-Martin). They work alongside officer Ramon "Romeo" Rush (Terrell Tilford),...

Chicago – The largely improvised “10 Items or Less” returns for a third trip to the grocery store on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 on TBS with what looks like another hit-and-miss season of occasionally inspired humor surrounded by generally boring characters in an overall mediocre show.
More “Sorta Funny” than the one-time TBS slogan of “Very Funny,” “10 Items or Less” is a reasonable diversion, a series that has more chuckles than some of the lackluster comedies on television this season but never delivers on the potential displayed by its talented star, John Lehr. Like an improvisational troupe with only one real star, every time that Lehr leaves the screen, the show falls apart.
