First he played roles at smaller theaters in Germany, finally he made it to the Volkstheater in Munich where he became a longtime member. There he was also able to realise some plays as a director.
His grandson Rolf Pinegger was a busy child actor in the 50s.
After the war he continued his stage career and from 1950 his film career as well.
He became established as a movie actor in the 20s.
The actor Rolf Pinegger first made an education as a carpenter before he dedicated to the theater from 1893.
He coped with the transition to the sound film without difficulty and Rolf Pinegger was often engaged for the then popular movies with a regional background. Beside it he also acted in movies of other genres.
