London, Sep 11: Michael Le Vell, who is best known for his role on the ITV soap 'Coronation Street', has been cleared of a string of child sex abuse charges, including rape.
The 48-year-old actor was found not guilty of 12 charges in total at the Manchester Crown Court, the BBC reported.
His unidentified accuser had alleged that she was abused from the age of six until she was 14.
While talking to the media persons outside the court, Le Vell thanked his family and ITV for their support.
Le Vell's pal and former co-star Nigel Pivaro, said that his friend has suffered two years of hell and, probably.

London, Nov mber 28: Hundreds of people, including stars of 'Coronation Street', gathered at the Albion United Reformed Church in Ashton-under-Lyne to pay their respects to Bill Tarmey who played the soap's Jack Duckworth for three decades.
Manchester-born Tarmey died at his holiday home in Tenerife on Nov mber 9, aged 71, the Sun reported.
Around 700 people joined his wife of 50 years, Ali, and their two children, Carl and Sara, to say a final goodbye at his funeral service.

Former Coronation Street star Nigel Pivaro has revealed that he was robbed while making a film to help ex-convicts. The actor, best known for his role as Weatherfield bad boy Terry Duckworth, was filming in Salford with producer Julia Berg when the male culprit struck.
