Robert H. Planck was born on August 19, 1902 in Huntington, Indiana, USA. He was a cinematographer, known for The Three Musketeers (1948), Lili (1953) and Anchors Aweigh (1945). He died on October 31, 1971 in Camarillo, California, USA.
As director of photography from 1929. First at United Artists, 1930-1932 (again, 1934-1936 and 1938-1939); at Fox 1933 and 1937; Universal in 1935. Settled at MGM (1940-1956) and worked on some of their best melodramas (Madame Bovary (1949), Little Women (1949)_) and musicals (Anchors Aweigh (1945), The Belle of New York (1952), etc.).
