- Alexander Polonsky was born in 1860 in Taganrog, Yekaterinoslav Governorate, Russian Empire [now Rostov oblast, Russia]. He was an actor, known for Taras Bulba (1924), Knyaz Demir Bulat (1916) and Der Adjutant des Zaren (1929). He died on June 16, 1944 in Paris, France.
