During the 1970s, Ms. Provendie, who had studied with Stella Adler, ran her own acting academy in Hollywood, near Franklin and Highland. It was at this location that Ralph Senensky taught a camera technique class as a favor to one of Zina's students, Jay Senensky - Ralph's cousin. Zina's teaching style included what she entitled, "A touch of larceny," which she sometimes described as having a spark in the eyes from knowing something the audience doesn't know. Around 1980, the school moved to a studio owned by Orson Wells just south of Sunset Boulevard. It was at this location that Demi Moore studied with Zina. One night, after class, Demi invited us all to hear guitarist, Freddie Moore and his band play at a club on Sunset Blvd. Freddie became Demi's first husband and the source of her last name. Demi was about 17 at the time and had not yet done General Hospital, which launched her career.
