- Ernst Pröckl was born on June 21, 1888 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was an actor, known for Kaiserwalzer (1933), Marriage in Name Only (1930) and Madame hat Ausgang (1931). He died on November 26, 1957 in Vienna, Austria.

- In 1918 he settled in Berlin where he worked successfully for the next 15 years. At the same time he joined the film business in Berlin and he impersonated numerous roles during the 10s and especially during the 20s.
- The actor Ernst Pröckl finished his education at the Viennese academy for music and performing arts, afterwards he gained a foothold at the theater where he appeared on different stages in the next years.
- In the 30s followed many cinematical engagements again, at the same time he continued his stage career and moved from Berlin to Vienna in 1933.
