He first worked for the Ufa where he often cooperated with Arnold Pressburger. When their work became more difficult at the Ufa because of the pressure of the National Socialists - Pressburger was a Jew and Rabinovitch even a Jew and a Russian - they founded together the production company "Cine-Allianz Tonfilm GmbH" in 1932.
Finally the company of Rabinovitch and Pressburger was liquidated by the National Socialists. Gregor Rabinovitch returned to France where he was able to produce again some movies, among them "Le quai des brumes" (1938), "Gibraltar" (1938), "Sans lendemain" (1939) and "L'enfer des anges" (1941).
