Dark-haired Austrian supporting actor, on stage from 1905. Alternated theatrical appearances with film work from 1917.
During wartime he appeared only in few more movies, and after WO II Das kleine Hofkonzert" and "Eva im Frack" .
In the 20's he still worked at the theater and appeared in movies.
His cinematical activities increased with the rise of the talkies and he impersonated numerous support roles in popular productions.
He learned his acting abilities at the theater and was able to gain a foothold in the film business from 1917.
