Exclusive: The Office co-star Brian Baumgartner is staying in business with the series’ boss Greg Daniels. Daniels is executive producing a new new single-camera comedy to star the original Office cast member, which has landed at ABC. It will be written by Harris Wittels, supervising producer on Daniels’ other NBC series, Parks & Recreation. The untitled half-hour centers on Norman (Baumgartner), a mid-level airline executive fights to experience winning again… At anything. Justin Hartley, most recently known for his role as Oliver Queen -- aka the Green Arrow -- on the CW's Smallville, has inked a talent holding deal with the network.
Hartley's association with the CW extends beyond Smallville, which he was tapped to join in 2006 starting with the show's sixth season. He also played the title role in the network's Aquaman pilot, which had been in contention for fall 2006, and more recently was in the CW pilot Spellbound as well as the network's Eight Days a Week.
His credits include the upcoming Warner Bros. feature film Spring Breakdown opposite Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Parker Posey and Rachel Dratch.
Hartley is repped by Innovative Artists and managers Ted Gekis and Daniel Ribera.

Former The O.C. regular Chris Carmack is in negotiations to team with Amanda Bynes in the romantic comedy Lovewrecked for helmer Randal Kleiser. Media 8 Entertainment is producing along with the recently relaunched Bacon & Eggs from a script by Stephen Langford. Lovewrecked finds Bynes as Jenny, an 18-year-old who is ecstatic when she learns that her favorite rock star -- to be played by Carmack -- is a guest at the tropical resort where she is working for the summer. When they are both thrown overboard during a cruise, Jenny finds herself stranded alone with him on what they think is a remote beach. Media 8's Stewart Hall is producing with Bacon & Eggs' Joe Anderson and Wendy Thorlakson. Carmack is best known for his role as Luke Ward on the freshman year of Fox's hit series O.C. His other credits include a starring role opposite Dennis Hopper in the USA Network original telefilm The Last Ride. VH1 has greenlighted a pilot from 3 Non-Blondes, a U.S. version of the popular BBC hidden-camera/improv series. The original show features three black comediennes playing different characters and interacting with unsuspecting passersby. Gary Reich, producer of the British show, is said to be on board for the VH1 pilot. Kyra Groves, Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton have been tapped to co-star in the project. Groves, who won a 2002 NAACP Image Award for her acting in the 2002 Los Angeles revival of the play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, is with Rozon Mercer Management. Callier and Shelton, alumni of Chicago's Second City, are repped by Bruce Smith at Omnipop and managers Theodore Gekis and Daniel Ribera.
