Founded Gala Film Distributors in
1952. This company was the biggest British distributor of foreign films
and introduced UK audiences to Ingmar Bergman's Cries & Whispers (1972) and most
of François Truffaut's output.
Sometimes billed as "Kenny" Rive, he was the son of cameraman Joe Riva and a child actor who played roles in German films actor, cameraman Joe Rive's
son, played roles in German films.
