A sculpture of the late Linda McCartney, which husband Paul planned as a secret memorial, is gathering dust in a foundry. The $26,000 statue has been in storage for three months after plans for a garden of remembrance on the Mull of Kintyre, Scotland, were put on ice. The couple's estate near Campbeltown in Scotland was one of Linda's favorite places before her death in 1998. The statue was sent to a foundry to be cast in bronze. Sir Paul, 58, became engaged to ex-model Heather Mills, 33, after commissioning it. He paid Jane Robbins, the daughter of one of his cousins, for the sculpture, which shows Linda sitting on a boulder holding a lamb. It was due to have been transported to Scotland at the start of the year. But it is now thought there are problems with the site - and multi-millionaire Sir Paul has discussed the possibility of placing the statue in nearby Campbeltown. Jane says, "I've been told by the people organizing it that the project is on ice. I find this as frustrating as anyone because I'm very proud of it."...
