A new episode of the Revisited video series has just made its way online, and with this one we’re celebrating the birthday of the late, great director Tobe Hooper by looking at one of his more underrated horror films: the 2004 release Toolbox Murders (watch it Here)! You can hear all about it in the embed above.
Toolbox Murders is technically a remake of the 1978 film The Toolbox Murders, but it’s very different from the source material. Written by Jace Anderson and Adam Gierasch, this one has the following synopsis: Young couple Steve and Nell move into a once fashionable, but now decaying, apartment block in Los Angeles, and soon realise that a number of young female residents have met unusually violent deaths. Before long, Nell makes some disturbing discoveries about the building’s manager and her fellow tenants.
The film stars Angela Bettis, Brent Roam, Marco Rodríguez, Rance Howard,...

Sylvester Stallone has had a few franchises over the years – Rocky, Rambo, The Expendables – but he also has a film that should have been a franchise starter, but never received any of the sequels it deserved. That’s the 1986 classic Cobra (watch it Here), which also happens to be the movie The Arrow in the Head Show hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek are talking about in the new episode of the series. To find out what they had to say about Cobra, check out the video embedded above!
Directed by George P. Cosmatos from a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone (which was apparently loosely based on the novel Fair Game by Paula Gosling), Cobra has the following synopsis: Los Angeles policeman Lt. Marion “Cobra” Cobretti finds himself at the center of a spate of murders carried out by a secret society called New Order: killers who select...

We are big fans of the 1986 Sylvester Stallone action slasher Cobra (watch it at This Link) here on JoBlo and Arrow in the Head, so it’s cool to see that a sixth scale figure of Stallone’s Cobra character Marion Cobretti is now available for pre-order through Sly Stallone Shop. This officially licensed figure, endorsed by Stallone himself, looks awesome… and it should, considering it’s going for the price of 290! An image of the figure can be seen at the bottom of this article, and more can be seen at the Sly Stallone Shop link.
The figure, which stands approximately 12 inches tall, has the following features: – Ultra-realistic head sculpt (Hand painted) – Over 28 Points of articulation (Approx 30 cm / 12 Inches) – 6 posable gloved hands – Black Jacket – Black shirt – Jeans – Boots – Weapon holster – Colt Gold Cup National Match (Custom) – Machinegun Jatimatic Smg with 4 magazines and laser optic – Two hand grenades – Police badge...

When Jack Carr was tucked away inside a rental in Coronado, California, typing up what would be the first of five novels centered on a Navy Seal commander named James Reese, he zeroed in on a short list of dream collaborators if the book was ever adapted.
After all, the plot seemed prime for adaptation as the first entry, The Terminal List, tracks Reece after his entire platoon was ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. As new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves.
“Before I had a book deal or anything, I thought, ‘who would be the perfect person to bring James Reese to life?’ Chris Pratt. Then I thought, ‘who would be the perfect person to direct it?’ Antoine Fuqua. I picked them before they even knew who I was,...

From the screenwriter of The Bourne Legacy and the producer of Michael Clayton, Nightcrawler is a gut-wrenching, first-person account of life on the streets of Los Angeles. Chicago – “No one talks like that,” I kept thinking to myself about this noir thriller. But that said, “Nightcrawler” is driven by just about the most entertaining dialogue from one person I’ve seen all year.
Rating: 4.0/5.0
Despite the fact that he’s living in a warped alternate version of the reality you and I know, you can’t stop listening to the way a narcissistic, zombie-like Jake Gyllenhaal puts people in their place. You know immediately that this typically 180-pound man – who shed 20 pounds to become the gaunt Lou Bloom and is hungry both literally and figuratively – is more than an odd bird. He clearly exhibits sociopathic behavior and that side of him is certainly disturbing, but there’s another side I actually find refreshing.
He doesn’t sugar coat because he doesn’t know how to. He speaks so decisively and matter-of-factly. His words are the epitome of being blunt,...

According to a lawsuit filed in California, Infamous (real name Marco Rodriguez) claims he did work for Game all the time, so he had no problem sending him a beat to listen to back in 2010 ... so Game could decide whether or not he wanted to use it.

Eastbound & Down is a relatively small venture for HBO, but I’m assuming that since you’re reading a review of season two that you’ve heard of it. It’s rather fresh ground for HBO to be treading, a sports-themed ‘dramedy’ (that’s drama/comedy), but despite the title’s air of the high-brow, it treats its audience to as much foul-mouthed, booze and sex soaked imagery as you’d care to shake a semi-erect stick at. Written by and starring the potty-mouthed Danny McBride (Pineapple Express) and co-written and directed by Observe & Report helmer Jody Hill (straight out of the Judd Apatow school of comedy), you should know going in that Eastbound & Down is not for the easily offended- but usually neither is any T.V that’s worth watching.
Season two picks up as you’d expect after the events at the end...

Chicago – HBO brought two of their most outgoing personalities to Blu-ray and DVD last week with the releases of “Eastbound & Down: The Complete Second Season” and “Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue.” Both are a step down from the best that these men have offered the comedy world but they also feature enough quality laughs for fans of Danny McBride and the controversial star of “30 Rock.”
Blu-Ray Rating: 3.5/5.0
The first season of HBO’s “Eastbound & Down” was a thing of beauty. Co-created by the great David Gordon Green (“Pineapple Express”), Jody Hill (“Observe and Report”), and star Danny McBride (“Your Highness”), it was a fearlessly raunchy piece of work in a medium so often defined by trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator. The second season was a bit of a step down from the hysterical first chapter but it eventually built to a pretty impressive finale and HBO does...

Mary Alice (Brenda Strong) "Lynette (Felicity Huffman) lost a lot of sleep over the years, feeding, temperatures - but never complained because a mother is always on call..." She's woken up and asked how to make omelettes for the girls the twins, Porter (Charlie Carver) and Preston (Max Carver) have brought home. They've been bringing their "whatevers" here for months. Mary Alice: "Lynette had lost a lot of sleep over the years, she was getting tired of it." "There are all sorts of ways to leave - some shake hands...waves, hugs...those who refuse to leave until someone else yells, 'get out'. Tom (Doug Savant) and Lynette want to kick the twins out. Susan (Teri Hatcher) is on the phone complaining all of her insurance won't cover her dialysis treatments, when she's pulled over by a cop. He feels sorry for her when she mentions she's late for...

Chicago – There’s no more daring performance on television right now than what Danny McBride does on HBO’s hilarious “Eastbound & Down.” Watching McBride deliver a performance that is this completely fearless in a medium so often dominated by the fear that comes with appealing to the lowest common denominator is reason alone to watch the season premiere of HBO’s “Eastbound & Down,” easily one of the funniest programs on television right now.
Television Rating: 4.5/5.0
The second season premiere, airing tonight, September 26th, 2010, finds McBride’s Kenny Powers deep south of the border in Copales, Mexico, running a cockfighting ring under the name Steve and saying things like “you pay Steve when his cock wins.” In one of Powers’ typically-great bits of narration, we learn that Kenny is “haunted by the sacrifices he’s had to make” after leaving North Carolina and every remaining bit of fame and love behind.

Here is the new poster promo art for Eastbound & Down Season 2, starring Danny McBride (Up in the Air, Tropic Thunder). Eastbound & Down tells the story of Kenny Powers, who used to be a star pitcher until his self-destructive behavior knocked him out of Major League Baseball. In the first season of the series, he returned home to North Carolina to teach Phys. Ed. at the middle school he once attended, and eventually scored another big-league job offer – or so he imagined. Eastbound & Down also stars Steve Little as Stevie Janowski, the high-school band teacher who idolizes Kenny; Michael Pena as Sebastian Cisneros, owner of the local Mexican baseball team; Ana de la Reguera as sultry lounge singer Vida; Marco Rodriguez as Roger Hernandez, manager of the baseball team; Efren Ramirez as his new neighbor Catuey; Elizabeth De Razzo as Maria, another new neighbor; Deep Roy as ...
