The screenwriter and author first studied law before he went on journey which led him to Europe, India and America.
From 1916 Paul Rosenhayn appeared as an author as well and he was very successful with his crime thrillers, among them also his figure detective Joe Jenkins.
On the height of his literarily career he published numerous other novels in the 20s.
After his death there were several novels published posthumous - "Der Flammen-Kreisel" (1930), "Das Haus im Schatten" (1930), "Der Mann am Fenster" (1930) and "Anruf in der Nacht" (1931).
Paul Rosenhayn continued to write screenplays in the 20s till he died at the age of only 52 in 1929.
His literally interests led him to the film business in 1915 where he wrote his first screenplays.
Despite his huge success as a writer Paul Rosenhayn remained active in the film business and he wrote numerous screenplays in the 10s for popular movies.
He lived several years in India and he wrote articles for different newspapers.
