- Karl Ludwig Schreiber committed suicide in Charlottenburg at the age of 50 in 1961.
- After the war he could return to his former success. First he appeared again at the theater, finally he took part in movies again but he impersonated only small roles.

- Karl Ludwig Schreiber was engaged for the title role Abel in 1933 for the movie "Abel mit der Mundharmonika" (33) and he became a demanded movie actor in the next years.
