There's no singular definition of a martial arts movie. They can be deadly serious, endlessly silly, and sometimes even feature anthropomorphic turtles named after classic Italian artists. The common thread is the presence of fights that go beyond boxing or brawls in their style and form. Action cinema is filled with talents who've made a career showcasing those skills such as Bruce Lee, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan, and many more.
