Luigi Serventi became one of the most popular Italian silent movie stars and in the 20s he also often took part in German silent movies as well which made him well-known abroad too.
The actor Luigi Serventi began his career at the theater in 1911 where he first worked for Vittoria Lepanto. It followed engagements by Ermete Novelli and Ettore Berti.
After his film career he lived in Kitzbühl for many years before he moved back to Italy at the old age. He died in Rome at the age of 91.
He already joined the Italian film business in 1912 where he soon became a demanded actor.
Like many actors and actress of that time he did not manage the transition to the sound film and therefore he only appeared in few movies of the 30s.
Besides his activity as an actor Luigi Serventi also realised few movies as a director like "Le mogli e le arance" (1917) and "Sprema bellezza" (1921).
