The film – written and directed by Aaron Hann and Mario Miscione – is an intense real-time thriller, which uniquely examines humanity under the worst possible circumstances that stars Carter Jenkins, Julie Benz, Mercy Malick, Allegra Masters, Michael Nardelli, Autumn Federici, Lawrence Kao, Kevin Sheridan and Cesar Garcia.
In a massive, mysterious chamber, fifty strangers awaken to find themselves trapped with no memory of how they got there. Organized in an inward-facing circle and unable to move, they quickly learn that every two minutes one of them must die… executed by a strange device in the center of the room. At first the attacks seem random, but soon the strangers realize that they, as a group, have the power to decide who will be the next to be killed. A vote. A chance to control the machine.

Filming on the "Veronica Mars" movie is currently underway, and leading lady Kristen Bell couldn't be more excited. She's been posting a slew of photos to her Twitter account from the set to tease fans of what's in store.
"First day of school...I might be a bit over excited?" Bell tweets along with the above photo that shows her wearing a Neptune shirt. In others, she shows herself hula hooping during a break and revealing her sneakers secret.
The official "Veronica Mars" movie Twitter and Instagram accounts have also been posting teases from set. One shows 09Er, what is described as "Neptune's hottest nightclub." Another was posted on the first day of shooting.
Meanwhile some other set photos show Bell shooting a scene with Jason Dohring. In most of the photos, it's Dohring who is sitting in a black convertible while Bell talks to him. In one other, Bell sits in the car alone.

Though the Veronica Mars movie more than beat its original budget target on Kickstarter, questions remained about which stars would return besides the core cast (and even then not all were initially confirmed). As creator / writer and film director Rob Thomas prepares to shoot this week, he’s been sending daily casting updates revealing the names of actors returning for a reunion both off and on screen. The list now includes Krysten Ritter, Tina Majorino, Ryan Hansen, Daran Norris, Brandon Hillcock, Kevin Sheridan and Jonathan Chesner.Thomas has slowly but surely assembled most of the original show’s cast to complement returning veterans Kristen Bell, Enrico Colatoni, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra and Jason Dohring. Given that the plot of the new movie focuses on a high school reunion for the former teen ‘tec, the gathering of actors makes sense.Ritter will return as Gia Goodman, a quirky type with...

The "Veronica Mars" movie continues to fill out its cast with actors from its three season run, with Krysten Ritter -- who portrayed Gia Goodman in Season 2 -- confirmed to make an appearance.
Creator and executive producer Rob Thomas announced Ritter's return Friday afternoon (June 14), via e-mail to the film's Kickstarter contributors. "Despite the name of her most recent television series ("Don't Trust The B---- in Apt 23"), Krysten couldn't be lovelier to work with," Thomas writes. "I'm thrilled she'll be joining us for the movie."
Also revealed to be returning are Brandon Hillock (Deputy Sacks), Kevin Sheridan ("chronic ne'er-do-well" Sean Friedrich) and Jonathan Chesner (stoner Corny).
They join a cast of already-announced former series regulars Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino and Francis Capra.
Is there anyone else from Neptune you're hoping will make a cameo in the movie?...

Before she was the titular "B" in Apartment 23 and Jesse Pinkman's girlfriend Jane in Breaking Bad, Krysten Ritter played the recurring role of Gia Goodman in the second season of Veronica Mars. A little bit flaky and a lot adorable, Ritter's Gia brought style and some much needed perkiness to Season 2, in addition to being an in for Veronica to snoop around Steve Guttenberg's Woody Goodman when the need arose. Ritter is the latest to join the cast of the Veronica Mars movie, which is just finishing up pre-production. Rob Thomas announced the news today, noting that Ritter's casting brings the confirmed cast up to fifteen. Earlier today, we shared the news that Brandon Hillock (Deputy Sacks), Kevin Sheridan (Sean Friedrich) and Jonathan Chesner (Corny) were all confirmed to appear in the movie, joining previously confirmed Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Sam Huntington, Christine Lakin, Amanda Noret, Percy Daggs III,...

Three more actors have officially signed on for the Veronica Mars movie. And those who've seen the original series should be familiar enough with their characters. The first is Brandon Hillock, who played Deputy Sacks. Next up is Kevin Sheridan, who played Sean Friedrich, and the last is Jonathan Chesner, who was known affectionately by his fellow Neptune High students as Corny. While we're still waiting on word for a couple of the other lead characters, Rob Thomas announced via Kickstarter the latest bit of casting news last night, noting that Hillock would be returning to his role of Deputy Sacks, the always polite mustache-sporting deputy at the Sheriff's department. Sacks was Sheriff Lamb's man, but if memory serves, he was always nice enough to Veronica. Less nice was Sean Friedrich, who was introduced in the episode where Veronica was investigating who took Weevil's winnings at Logan's poker game. Sean...

London, Feb 3: Amy Winehouse's father has lashed out at a 'psychic' who has been pestering him with claims that his daughter is haunting her friends.
Canadian Nadine Rhodes told Mitch Winehouse, 60, that there had been a string of "angelic appearances" by the singer in Canada. She insisted Amy's ghost was pleading for help for a British man who was suffering in pain.
She sent him a stream of Twitter messages telling him about "hauntings" by Amy, who died last July aged 27 after a vodka binge.
The Canadian said the 'Rehab' singer kept appearing in white, telling her friends that a man called Kevin Sheridan in.

The Wizard Of Oz 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’S Edition (Warner Bros.) A true highlight in digital restoration technology, Warner Bros. restoration of the 1939 classic is cause for celebration. The Technicolor of the late ‘30s looks as though it was shot yesterday, and is especially stunning on Blu-ray, which was produced by scanning each of the film’s original Technicolor camera negatives using 8K resolution. From this scan, a final “capture” master was created in 4K, yielding twice the resolution seen in the master utilized for the film’s previous DVD release. Judy Garland’s Dorothy is charming as ever, and the entire cast: Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley and Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch, are all stellar. Four disc set bonuses include: Sing-along track; Documentaries and featurettes; Two 1914 silent films produced by Oz author L. Frank Baum, based on his stories...
