- In 1950, he wrote the German lyrics of the French song "C'est si bon" which was written in 1947 by André Hornez (lyrics) and Henri Betti (music). The song was recorded by Rita Gallos with Kurt Edelhagen and his Orchestra May 30, 1950.
- Together with the composer Gerhard Winkler he soon became a successful artist for entertaining music, to his well-known songs belong among others "O Mia Bella Napoli" (1938), "Das Chianti-Lied" (1939), "C'est si bon", "Moulin Rouge", "Ich hab' noch einen Koffer in Berlin" and "Capri-Fischer".
