- Carlo Simi was born on November 7, 1924 in Viareggio, Tuscany, Italy. He was a costume designer and production designer, known for Once Upon a Time in America (1984), For a Few Dollars More (1965) and A Fistful of Dollars (1964). He died on November 26, 2000 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
- In addition to designing sets and costumes for motion pictures, he also designed more permanent structures. He designed a villa for producer Alberto Grimaldi. It would later become the final home for Sergio Leone.
- Uncle of actress Cristina Moglia.
- Simi played a cameo in "For a Few Dollars More", for which he also served as Production Designer.
