- Joe Siracusa was a drummer with novelty band leader Spike Jones and his City Slickers from 1947 to 1953. In the 1960s, after Jones' death, he and several other ex-Slickers put together a comedy band called "The New Society Band," which later became "The Phunharmonic Orchestra.".
