"I asked him with my eyes to ask again yes and then he asked me would I yes to say yes my mountain flower and first I put my arms around him yes and drew him down Jo me so he could feel my breasts all perfume yes and his heart was going like mad and yes I said yes I will watch the 'Leprechaun' movies."
So went the final words of James Joyce's "Ulysses," a vital literary classic in the Western Canon, and one of the only major Irish novels devoted entirely to the watching of the "Leprechaun" film series.
The "Leprechaun" film series bears the distinction of lasting for 25 without ever offering up at least one legitimate classic. Several slasher series begin strong, or have follow-up sequels along the way, even if the vast majority of their sequels are bad or uncreative. John Carpenter's "Halloween" from 1978, for example,...

Top of the mornin’ to you on this St. Patrick’s Day! To celebrate, we here at Arrow in the Head decided to mark the occasion by going back over the Leprechaun movies and ranking them from worst to first. The Leprechaun Movies Ranked list can be seen below – check it out and let us know how you would rank the movies!
Leprechaun: Origins (2014)
This is appalling. Director Zach Lipovsky, writer Harris Wilkinson, and WWE Studios were given the chance to make a new Leprechaun movie, they cast a professional wrestler (Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl) as the title character, and then they just churned out a dull monster movie. I don’t know how anyone involved thought this was a good idea (“You know what we should do? Take everything people liked about Leprechaun and remove it!”) or how Leprechaun: Origins made it through production. The story follows Americans backpacking through...

Life can be pretty tough. It has no allegiances, and it has absolutely no problem with sticking the most noble of folks with the most god-awful of circumstances. It seems content not just to sticking a sword in you, but pull it out, give a twist, and stick it right back in. There have been plenty of films that tackle the subject matter of a tough life, and in the new film, The Sweet Life, we'll be riding along with some folks who are done dealing with it..
The Sweet Life follows two wayward souls who create a suicide pact, agreeing to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge (one of the most popular suicide spots in the world) together. The two set off on a roadh trip from Chicago to California, and it follows their journey on the way there and all they obstacles they come across. This film is a dramedy,...

"Let me be clear - you and I, we are not a love story." The Orchard has debuted an official trailer for an indie dramedy titled The Sweet Life, a romantic fable about two people struggling in thier own way who decide to travel together across the Us. Their plan is to make it to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco so they can both commit suicide together. Of course, along the way they discover just how great it is to enjoy life together. Chris Messina and Abigail Spencer co-star, along with Tyson Ritter, J.D. Evermore, Karan Soni, Chris Aquilino, and Michael Emery. This honestly doesn't look that good, but I am a big fan of Chris Messina, plus I am hoping there's an earnest side to this that makes it worth a watch. Have fun. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Rob Spera's The Sweet Life, direct from YouTube: The Sweet Life,...

One of the country’s most influential film schools is having a tough week.
Members of the American Film Institute’s faculty and administration are voicing their support for AFI Dean Jan Schuette following a letter from the school’s faculty union Tuesday calling for Schuette’s resignation. The letter came two weeks after a union vote of “no confidence” in Schuette’s leadership that passed 35-8, with roughly half of the 87-person faculty not voting. At least 30 faculty members also signed a letter last October expressing deep concern about Schuette’s leadership and the direction of the conservatory.

Three faculty members from AFI’s editing discipline have resigned in recent weeks, including 21-year veteran Howard Smith, who told IndieWire in an email that his resignation was directly in response to changes instituted by Schuette.

How did a low budget horror movie about a diminutive Irish monster spawn five sequels, a new reboot, and the career of Jennifer Aniston? EW tracks the deranged history of the Leprechaun franchise.
British actor Warwick Davis says he has “specific” fans—well-wishers who want to discuss just one of the several fantasy franchises in which he has appeared. “People talk about Star Wars, people talk about Harry Potter,” he explains, “and people talk about Leprechaun.”

Written by Robert Berens

Airs Tuesdays at 9pm (Et) on The CW
One of the most intriguing aspects of Metatron’s spell to cast the angels out of heaven was the loss of Castiel’s grace in the process. While the angel had, at that point, already spent a lot of time around humans, it was nonetheless bound to be a big adjustment for him to be human. This week once again picks up on the thread of Castiel trying to survive on his own, in a gripping episode that manages to reveal another layer to the angels while once again revisiting the power struggle between Crowley and Abaddon.
Watching Castiel’s adjustment to human life this week continues to be fascinating. Castiel’s search for meaning, and doing the right thing, has been...

Supernatural Episode 906
“Heaven Can’t Wait”
Written By: Robert Berens
Directed By: Rob Spera
Original Airdate: 12 November 2013
In This Episode...
Kevin has had a little bit of luck translating the angel tablet. He has managed to translate it into an obscure dead language but can’t find anyone to translate that language. This means study time, so when Castiel calls Dean with a potential case (four people disappear, presumed dead), he is only too eager to head out to Idaho and follow up.
Dean arrives at the crime scene and discovers pink. Everything is pink, like a bottle of Pepto exploded in this guy’s house. If this is anything like the first case, a couple in a lousy marriage, the pink is basically a human slurry: blood, bones, skin, hair, even clothing, all blended into an opaque soup and thrown over the walls. So yeah, it’s a case.
