Miles Jupp will soon be taking on the reins as host of The News Quiz on BBC Radio 4, which will be yet another string to his very heavy bow.
The comedian - known for his work on Rev, stand-up comedy and writing and starring in his own radio and TV sitcom In and Out of the Kitchen - told Digital Spy that he doesn't want to see the BBC closed down or stripped back.
"Well, I hope [the BBC] survives," he said. "I don't really know how the BBC is run. Which isn't a despairing 'I just don't know how to bloody do it!', it's literally 'I don't know how it works'.
"So if there's stuff that doesn't need to be there, I don't know. But you would hope they would be in a position where they could keep investing in programmes.
"I suppose what the BBC has done is invest...
