- (1978 - 1979) Her opera, "Made by Two," was performed in a Gertrude Stein Theatre Express production at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. William Turner was adapter, composer, director, set and lighting designer. She was also lyricist. Charles Gilbert Jr. was conductor.
- (November 14, 1997) Julie Crutcher adapted Thornton Wilder and her letters into a play, "Lots of Love Gertrude, Ever Thine Thornton," in a 13th Brown-Forman Classics in Context Festival production at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky with Marion McCorry (Gertrude) and Edwin C. Owens (Thornton) in the cast.
- (March 13 to 24, 1946) Her play, "Yes Is For a Young Man," was performed at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California. Gilmor Brown was artistic director. T.B. Henry was director.
