U2’s The Edge and artist Morleigh Steinberg are set to be honored at the Venice Family Clinic’s inaugural Heart (Health + Art) gala.
The clinic, a nonprofit community health center that provides quality health care to people in need, will hold its gala May 11 at 3Labs in Culver City, California.
The clinic’s Heart (Health + Art) initiative “represents a community that cares about health, art, creativity and social justice.” At its first-ever gala, influential creatives, philanthropists and stars will celebrate the Heart community and honor individuals who make the clinic’s health care services possible, with the support of the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation as gala sponsor.
Spouses Steinberg and The Edge, who are both longtime supporters of Venice Family Clinic, will receive the first-ever Heart Award at the event. Organizers said the duo “exemplify the spirit of Heart through their passion for the arts and health equity.”

U2 frontman Bono made a surprise appearance Friday night at the opening ceremony of the Sarajevo Film Festival, with the Irish pop star leading a rapturous crowd in an a cappella rendition of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.”
The legendary vocalist took the stage after an emotional screening of “Kiss the Future,” director Nenad Cicin-Sain’s documentary, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, about U2’s relationship with war-torn Sarajevo in the 1990s. He was accompanied by bandmate the Edge and their wives, Ali Hewson and Morleigh Steinberg, along with model and activist Christy Turlington and veteran CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour.

Adam Clayton, longtime bassist for worldwide hit rock band U2, has married his girlfriend of four years, Brazilian model Mariana Teixeira De Carvalho, reports the BBC.
The news outlet says the couple, who got engaged earlier this year, quietly wed at the Dublin registry office in Ireland on Wednesday (Sept. 4). Reportedly only U2 guitarist The Edge (real name David Evans) and his wife Morleigh Steinberg were in attendance.
However, a large celebration with family and friends is expected this coming weekend in France, with speculation that it will take place at Eze les Roses villa outside Nice, which is owned by Bono and The Edge. The festivities kick off on Friday.
Clayton has been engaged twice previously -- once to model Naomi Campbell -- but this is his first trip down the aisle. It is also Mariana's first marriage. Clayton has a son from a previous relationship.

It was a beautiful day indeed for Adam Clayton. The U2 bassist finally took the plunge and married his Brazilian model girlfriend Mariana Teixeira De Carvalho in a quickie ceremony Wednesday at a registry office in Dublin, Ireland. Witnessing the "I Dos" was Clayton's fellow band member, The Edge, and his wife Morleigh Steinberg. Per the BBC, the 53-year-old rocker popped the question during Carnival in Brazil earlier this year. The duo, who've been together for four years, are planning to celebrate their newlywed status with more than 150 friends and family at a blowout three-day weekend wedding reception in France that's set to kick off this Friday. Before he found...
