The filmcomposer Otto Stenzel or Stenzeel began his career as a musician for a dance orchestra in Berlin where he played during the 20s.
He came in touch with the film business in 1926 when he took over the function of a cinema bandmaster.
Members of his orchestra were American jazz and light music banjoist, guitarist, and bandleader Mike Dansi and conductor and bandleader Franz Thon.
He wrote his last scores for movies in 1930 with "Menschen am Sonntag" (1930) and "Die heiligen drei Brunnen" (1930). Afterwards he concentrated to the conduct of the theater orchestra for the Scala in Berlin and he recorded several records.
