- John Ralph Bilbo was an American actor, professional wrestler and promoter as Chief Jules Strongbow, not to be confused with the later more famous Francis Huntington. He debuted on December 2, 1931 in a loss to Ray Richards in Columbus, Ohio. He wrestled all over the U.S. as well as making a handful of appearances in Canada. He won his only title, the Texas Heavyweight Title, by defeating Champion Hans Schnabel in a 2 out of 3 falls match at a Gulf Athletic Club event in Houston, Texas on May 11, 1945 and lost it a week later to Bobby Managoff. He also acted in movies and on TV shows and worked as a promoter in California. His last match was a win over Jack Holland at a Wrestling In Los Angeles show at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on June 23, 1948. - This Chief Jules Strongbow should not be confused with the other Jules Strongbow, Francis Huntington, who debuted in 1973 as Frank Hill and in the mid-80's became Jules Strongbow and tagged with Chief Jay Strongbow.
