- Wolfgang Suschitzky was born on August 29, 1912 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was a cinematographer, known for Get Carter (1971), Ulysses (1967) and Worzel Gummidge (1979). He was married to Beatrice Cunningham, Ilona Suschitzky and Helena "Puck" Voute. He died on October 7, 2016 in London, England, UK.

- Began in 1935 as a camera operator for documentary film maker Paul Rotha in England.
- Wanted to become a zoologist, but, finding work opportunities scarce, decided to study photography instead. Suschitzsky eventually graduated from the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt (School of Design and Graphic Arts) in Vienna. A lifelong passion for photographing animals led, in 1956, to his supplying the photographs for the book The Kingdom of the Beasts by Julian Huxley.
