The full content listing for the upcoming WWE DVD and Blu-ray set on the life and death of Owen Hart has been revealed, courtesy of the Wrestling DVD Network. The list includes all chapter titles for the documentary feature on disc one, as well as all extras, including the full list of matches selected for the package.
Bret Hart recently commented on the documentary portion of the set, sounding very pessimistic about the chances that the documentary will do a good job telling the full story of his brother’s life. Bret believes that WWE is having to walk on egg shells to cater to Owen’s widow, Martha, who is not supporting the DVD release.
Bret told the Fight Network:
“I’m looking forward to it but I’m not really optimistic that it’s going to be a great job. Martha handcuffed them so much. I...

So at TLC 2013, we will finally see the match we’ve waited a lifetime to see, when John Cena clashes with Randy Orton to unify the WWE and World titles, once and for all. Honest, this time.
The concept of unifying multiple titles is one that every wrestling fan seems to understand, but it’s actually a fairly recent development. The earliest example that most people would know about is Nikita Koloff beating Wahoo McDaniel to unify the Us and National titles in 1986, and then beating Terry Taylor a year later to unify the Nwa and Uwf TV titles at Starrcade 87. The Russians always were fans of streamlined labor, I guess.
Granted, WWE and other promotions have attempted to sell us this particular bill of goods before, and with only varying degrees of success. We’re going to play by rules here and only talk about matches specifically advertised as unification matches,...

As we begin the month of October, I fondly remember Halloween Havoc, WCW’s annual fall extravaganza. Halloween Havoc was the one pay-per-view I looked forward to every year since it seemed like the company was inventing some weird gimmick. Some of them worked very well (The Thunderdome or Thunder Cage before the threat of lawsuit), others had mixed results (Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal) and others made me cringe (Chamber of Horrors, Sumo Monster Truck Match). Today, I want to talk about the one Halloween Havoc that didn’t have some weird or insane gimmick match: Halloween Havoc 1990 with the tagline “Terror Rules the Ring”. The card emanated from The Uic Pavilion in Chicago, a location that had held two previous Nwa PPVs: Starrcade 1987 and The Chi-Town Rumble.
